Crystal Palace Football Club, nicknamed - CPFC, and The Eagles - are a professional football club based in South Norwood, London; and were founded in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium, who wanted their own team to play at the historic venue. When Crystal Palace were founded, they turned to one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time, Aston Villa, to seek advice. Villa helped the club in a number of ways, not least by donating their kit. As a result, Palace's colors were originally claret and blue shirts paired with white shorts, socks tending to be claret. They kept to this formula fairly consistently until 1938. The club initially played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside the grounds of The Crystal Palace, but the Frist World War saw them forced to move out, and they enjoyed a number of seasons at both the Herne Hill Velodrome and The Nest. Although Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy, they have played in the First Division for the majority of their existence, finishing 3rd once, and losing the 1990 FA Cup Final to Manchester United. Crystal Palace play their homes games at Selhurst Park, and share sporting rivalries with South London neighbors Milwall, former tenants Charlton, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Don't feck this up you twats.

Go with the same team as today, but with Fellaini replacing one of Lingard/Mata. CBJ and Valencia will need to be on top of their game to handle Zaha and Bolasie's pace.

I'm excited for this game, been a long time since I've felt like this over the FA Cup final again.
I'd be happy with the same team that played tonight but think Fellaini might feature.

Yeah and its a good side. Hope they really go for it.

if it is LVGs last game, I hope we smash it so put some kind of thin gloss on what has been a rocky 3 years post SAF.

Maybe we can keep the hold up to a cup final and first chance of post fergie silverware remotely positive for now.

Really looking forward to it, hope to do it in style and kick on.

We better score our one chance on target...that much is clear from the Philosophy.

Fellaini must play. He was influential in the quarters and the semis and it wouldn't be right if he won't start. Actually I would bet on him to score if he starts.

We played C.Palace a few weeks ago and they played like a team about to be relegated. I have no idea how they made it to the FA Cup final.
I can't see anything but a MUFC win. Easy/boring win.
    2-0.

the majority of lineups have lingard in them... personally, i'd rather play with two keepers. de gea obviously, and romero as a wandering defender who can at least get in the way of crystal palace players.

    -------------rashford
martial ---mata---herrera---pereira/romero/anyone on the planet other than jesse lingard
    -------------carrick
    CBJ --- blind---smalling --- valencia

I can't understand the confidence that we are going to win easily. I'll be very surpised if that happens. Our style of play is very convenient for Palace's counter-attacking style. Their wingers can create us a lot of problems. Blind hasn't been good recently as well. I expect the game to be decided in extra time.

The players I think that have to start are DDG,Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Fellaini, Rooney, Rashford, Martial

that leaves us with picking a LB, CDM and an RW

To choose who to play that just brings up now tactics and better form now...

I prefer CBJ as an attacking threat over Rojo personally. If Palace play narrow and compact his width could be very valuable. Carrick has been in decent form but maybe a bit more bite from Schneiderlin would be ideal. Mata takes care of the ball more and his free kicks add another dimension for us, while Lingard is a bit more pacier and will make runs to stretch the opposition. Mata came off early so i would probably play him first then look for lingard later on in the game to change up things. So with that in mind

Palace will try to run us off the park I imagine so we better play some midfielders who can match up to that.

I don't have much hope in the correct team selection being delivered to be honest but hopefully with Martial, Rashford and Mata out there, we'll see a few moments of magic to see us through.

    2-1 United.

Why is the match at 17:30 when the CL final is on that evening? If it goes to extra time it'll clash. Sponsors must be fuming no-one partisan will watch the presentation!
Huh? Isn't the CL-final played at the 28th of may?

I agree about CBJ starting over Rojo, but not Schneiderlin over Carrick. He's been underperforming close to all season and got another bad experience after that horrible 1st half against West Ham. Carrick needs to start this. When it comes to Mata or Lingard, I'd probably prefer Lingard from start, then maybe put on Mata later in the match if we still need goals, and when the CP players starts to get tired.

I think this will be the team, only one I'm not sure on is Mata as LvG loves him some Lingard.

Agree with the team except possibly for Bojack. He can be a bit dozy and Palace have some wingers who can do damage. Would be worried with either him or Rojo at left back.
