Apparently MUTV has Bruno as false 9, if that counts for anything
That was my first thought when I saw the line-up but I think most of us would rather see him in midfield and Amorim trying something interesting. Our league matches are dead-rubber games anyway.

If we’re not keen on the ST then we should be promoting Obi

I’d be worried Ugarte is gonna get overrun in CM, feels like a Kante would be perfect for what we need from that position

Wish these games that aren’t on sky would be shown on MUTV or something.

Onana with a bit of timber round his midsection?

Clever starting XI from Amorim, Palace are a tall team, it would be pointless having Zirkzee/Hojlund to lump it to and play off as it won't pay off. Instead the one-touch pass and move we had the 2nd half Thursday night will likely cause the most problems to Palace.
Don't think it's really about height, it's more that he doesn't want to mirror their setup. Weakest area of ours is the link between getting the ball out of defence and into attack, hence why long pointless balls feature heavily, a false 9 negates that somewhat as it adds a body to the midfield.

I was quite confident but with the change I am usure, Palace's game features CBs aggressively stepping out and it is something they are good at, without a 9 (no matter how little you rate either 9) you allow 2 of the 3 to come out without a threat in behind and then try to break something up/feed their very good front 3. Hopefully I am wrong and the tweak shows why we went for Amorim, it is a big call though.

Anyone having a swim at the moment? Can you share?

If that's the front 3, it looks really interesting expect the 3 to move and swap throughout rather than 1 central striker that their CBS can shut down

How many times have we been in this situation? hopefully a reversal of fortunes today. Onana in goal is disappointing. Mainoo in attack is interesting.

Neither Hojlund or Zirkzee playing today. I feel sorry for Dalot, he's going to get a battering on the forum today. More so than usual.

Amad there... oh my days....
