We owe them a drubbing after the 4 nil embarrassment under ten Hag. 4 nil win: Sesko x 2, Bruno and Mbeumo.

Fkn bizarre. We're one home win against a team that are down n knackered n we're in third.

If we'd binned that clown Amorim in May after Bilbao, like we clearly, obviously, blatantly should have done, we'd have won the league already.
There's always too many unknown variables to state something like this.

Just be thankful we're playing better and in the mix.

In theory this shouldn't be too a difficult match with their team in disarray and some of their best players sold/injured... it's games like this that have come to haunt us recently so I'd like to put this feeling to bed.

I was oddly worried we’d drop points against West Ham and Everton. Not feeling the same for Palace. Hopefully they will tire quickly and we can’t turn the screw. Been a bogey team last few seasons so we could do with putting a good performance in and making it look like we deserve to be in 3rd place. 3-0 United.

    Don't remember that one.
I didn’t want to remember it either but all I recall during that embarrassment was how palace had managed to assemble a better attack than us. Eze and Olise tore us to bits.

We need to start the game with intensity, physicality and pressure to pin them in their own pen box. Far too often, we start our home games like an away side, intent on keeping ball at the back. Palace dont have the pacey attackers to hurt us so lets go after them.

    Ismaila Sarr is rapid.

3 points is a must today as Villa and Newcastle won't be easy, regardless of thire current form. I can see us only getting 1/2 points there.

Yeah geordies always fired up for that one at St James's, guess it all stems back to the 95/96 title race

    They’re at full strength really.

Mateta out but they’ve just spent heavy on Strand Larson. Otherwise it looks a solid team. Perhaps Pinky in CM isn’t a 1st teamer…but he won’t stop running

We need an early goal to open them up otherwise they will sit deep in a low block and frustrate us and they have a couple of rapid players…..patience but a high starting tempo needed.

Most important game of the season.

If we win, we go 3rd, level with Villa but ahead on GD.

Also we go 6 points ahead of Chelsea. Chelsea have difficult fixtures so will be difficult to make up those 6 points.

    Villa have lost form.

Liverpool have hit form so it may be them and us fighting for 3rd and 4th places.

Happy matchday reds! Feeling confident for this one.

Let's win comfortably and bang out some more of those clippable rondo and switches!

Totally agree, very important to get a win today and Chelsea to drop points.

Unless you deem every game we play as the most important game of the season. Then no. Clearly not.

Dunno if Glasner will play it but for teams that plays low block whats stopping us from lumpig the ball into the box to Sesko?

Pretty sure that was one of the reasons why we signed him.... it worked in 2007, why cant it work now...? some big bastard up front outmuscling and outjumping everyone, no matter if they have 4 or 8 people at the back. Thats how its always been done

We have Cunha, Mbeumo, Amad, Bruno all good crossers

Don't they have like the lowest possession percentage in the league?

Imperative we win today as after this, it's squeaky bum time. We have Newcastle away and Villa at home , both very tough games regardless of their form right now. Then we have Bournemouth away and we haven't won against them for the past 5 games.

    3rd if they want it!

When they have a chance like today, they usually fail, so it will be a good test.

Feels like it'll play out similarly to Everton if we're to win. They'll have no plans of leaving their own half.

Not anticipating a win. Too much at stake for them to step up. We lose by 2 goals.

It’s important we win. I just don’t think it’s ‘that’ important.
Yeah, although I would say on paper it looks the easiest game left of our fixtures. I don’t think we have a tough run in but this is the game I’m most confident in getting 3 points as Palace only really care about Europe at this point.

Home game against Villa will be important also.

I just think moving into 3rd place at the start of March is psychologically important. We were 11 or 12 points off 3rd not so long ago.

I associate March as the start of the season run in. Remaining games moves into single digits. It's the final 1/4.

Villa are slipping. Chelsea have very difficult fixtures.

So our odds of top 5 are quite high.

I just think it's an infection point in a difficult season.

You'll often hear players speaking of a particular game in a season as being important in hindsight. It gave them confidence and momentum.

Love Amad but Sesko deserves the start. Hopefully Amad can come on after 60 minutes and begin to get some form back.
