Sesko was brilliant today. It literally worked perfectly.Not the best of performances, first half in particular was very poor but a lot better 2nd half. Bruno in particular was very good in that 2nd half and delighted for Šeško to see him keeping up this goalscoring run.Feck me. Made fecking tough work of that. I don't entirely disagree. Cunha or Mbuemo could equally have been dropped and not had much complaint.
But they've at least been scoring for Carrick so you can understand why Amad was the one to make way.

Reported that Carrick gave players a day off after match day. ETH and Amorim require the players to come back for recovery.
I'm not worried about his scoring, I'm worried about him not imposing himself in games. Yes he scores, but he has more to offer and hes not showing it.

There was news that Carrick allowed the squad to go overseas during the long break too and the players social media showed them all in different countries.

I am pumped. Started so poorly but wrestled back control end of first half. Second half we were all over then and forced the red. Its not perfect but its working and we have a huge chance of a high finish

He's got 19 of 21 points. This is not a coincidence.
Carrick might well have shortcomings as a coach, but the squad itself is still heavily flawed.
Nowhere near enough options in midfield, and having to rely on Casemiro and his aging legs. Good wide players that want to come inside, but no fullbacks who can really offer attacking width in their stead.
We're also missing Dorgu's off the ball energy and Martinez's ability to pass through the lines, which partly makes up for the midfield and lack of width.
He's getting wins with the team available to him, but it's a team that still needs an overhaul in several positions come the summer.
Cheers mate, I do recall hearing about a stat that we had yet to win a match (Premier League) when Yoro starts. However, I feel like that was more of an indictment on Amorim instead of it being an exclusively Yoro stat.
Ole had similar if not better stats. We have to look past merely the results if we are going to make him permanent.
Don't get me wrong. The results are great and should be considered but they should not be the only thing considered. The performances and progression in system implementation have to be factored into the conversation.- Status
