A good start getting the Casemiro goal on 19 mins. Joins Bruno and Cunha with 5 goals as joint 2nd top scorer. After that Fulham came into it more and its just been okay. Mbeumo could have been in a few times with a good first touch but got it wrong. He's still been lively and might get the next one right.

Fulham have mainly been a threat down their left with Chukweze and Robinson. Dalot might need a bit more help with that

German Sky commentator lady keeps saying "Fernantsh" and "Casemirooh", good intentions maybe but incredibly annoying

Switched to the original English commentary because of it
That’s close to how Fernandes is said in Portuguese. We always hear a Spanish interpretation of the name. Dont know the Casemiroooo reason.

Maguire was great throughout. Back four in general were good.

Amad probably the best of the forwards for me - quietly efficient.

Cunha well off it again as a starter. I'd like to see Sesko on for him and rejig a bit.

The lead masks that it's been largely pretty bad. I wouldn't trust us to maintain the lead unless the performance improves. We look like we don't have the solutions to play through their midfield.

I'd really like to see Sesko sooner rather than later. No that Mbeumo has been bad, but just to have a bit more presence up front.

Sesko would likely do better against Andersen.

Bruno’s performance is reminding me of the Burnley game. He was crowded out first half there and this game he’s being man-marked by Berge.

I’d try switching Bruno to LW and Cunha through the middle for 10mins to disrupt Fulham. Does Berge follow Bruno? Or does he switch to Cunha?

Not the best half but pleased we are leading, we need more control and lock central areas where Fulham and penetrating the most

We haven’t gone down the left side at all really. Even Cunha winning the free kick on the right.
We don't have much of left side with this 11. Cunha is coming inside and Mbeumo is drifting out wide which doesn't suit him, but the even more glaring issue is that Luke Shaw has completely forgotten how to attack. He's just a laid back defender with a magnificent touch but no dynamism or attacking potency. That's why we either need Dorgu to work out as a LB / LW eventually and /or possibly a new left wing signing (or Cunha adapts but he doesn't look like a wide player at all).

I hope no one expected us to steamroll Fulham 3-0 by halftime. They’re a pretty decent side.
They are top of the form table. Play some lovely football. It was never going to be an easy game just because ‘it’s fulham’

You don’t have to change players to change the plan.
That makes no sense to change something that is working so far.

You have no issue but are worried. So what it is ?

I just feel playing the same team until you lose is closer to what you do at school level than elite professional football

But it is what it is. We’re coping just about

Amad is having a field day. Casemiro is brilliant. not only because of the goal but he pays the DM role like a boss. I would like him to stay a squad option. We will need depth. We better replace him with someone WC.

We still can't maintain possession and create periods of constant pressure.

The likes of Bruno and Cunha are not very good at receiving the ball in between the lines on the turn. I can't think of a Utd team in the last 10 years that have had the profile of midfielders and attackers to do so: keep the ball deep in an opponents half. There's a reason why our best results have always come playing on the counter/ fast transitions. This type of football/ profile of players might get you top 4, but will never be good enough to challenge for a title.

is it? we scored from a set piece. Take that away and we look void of any ideas or creativity, it's more of the same.

Amad had a good effort early cutting in, Mbeumo got hauled down when through on goal. Two decent chances outside of the goal.

Games do usually open up more second half.

    I’d bring on Sesko

    Mbuemo—Sesko—Amad

I think Cunha is coming into the midfield and isn’t staying wide, I’ve even seen him on the right side with 4 players in the same area. I think he still has the mentality of trying to do too much

Fulham are a good team with a top coach. We can't afford to play like that in the second half or we'll almost certainly drop points. Sounds crazy but we could even lose our record of not losing every game we're winning at halftime at OT.

I don’t usually regard Fulham as a physically dominant team, but they’re totally bossing it, physically, against our midfielders and Mbeumo up top.

    .

Very tight game as expected. Fulham's physical superiority is showing and they'll carry that threat throughout the game. We've dealt with it well enough but as our legs tire we might not be able to. We desperately need that second goal.

I'd put Sesko on sooner than later. Mbeumo disappointed on the chance for the penalty appeal as I expected his first touch to be much better. Cunha has been invisible largely on the left, moving inwards more often than not. Any one of them can be replaced by Sesko. Would've loved to have Dorgu out there, he could've battled well.

I don't understand the point in playing long to Mbuemo. He is not going to win anything up top.

Out of possession and defence is still massively better than under Amorim. Players holding their shape instead of pushing forward and leaving spaces all the time.

On the ball we've been pretty poor though. Fulham have done a great job at compressing the space in the centre. Bruno is being crowded out by their midfield (probably an intentional strategy from Silva).

Our biggest threat has come on Amad's wing. Cunha hasn't been offering the same threat on the left unfortunately. Think Carrick needs to tell Cunha to stay wider or else we might need to switch Mbeumo to the left and put Sesko up front

Tight half, they're a good side obviously so it was never going to be easy. Would definitely bring on Sesko in the 2nd half for one of Mbeumo or Cunha, don't think either have played well. Amad, case and Maguire the 3 stand outs id say
Sesko against their towering CBS makes sense to me too.

Thats why carrick is only interim. We look very dull if we dont counter. No game patterns just hoofing it up, losing the ball befor halfway line. No wingplay, no midfield, just very random ball progression. I still expect us to win this and get three points, but one fluke goal from them and we can be in trouble. We seem to only be able to create from a set piece today.

Fulham are a decent side and seem to have figured out how to play thru the press as they’ve done a good job finding the extra player.

One concerning thing is how open the midfield is and part of that is on Mainoo. He’s got to realize that Bruno is the 10 playing almost like a second striker so he can’t vacate the middle.

Cunha isolated on the left by the looks of it. Fulham haven’t been shabby and a draw would have been the correct result at half-time.

I know OT isn’t known for its atmosphere a lot of times in the days of modern football, but this atmosphere is especially flat and virtually non-existent based on the TV coverage.
Yeah this is the worst atmosphere I've heard at OT in a while.

Still shaking off the ghosts of the previous regime but Lammens made two saves (one fairly routine) that would have been two goals guaranteed from Onana.

Overall Fulham have set up well against us and it’s been competitive. A lot of niggly chippy fouls being let go by the ref. Looked like we were playing basically a false 9 for the last 25 minutes. Would look a lot different with Sesko.

Need Cunha and Mbeumo to improve 2nd half and this game should be pretty easily won, nothing really to complain about really defence has been good, Amad looks fantastic against a decent full back and the midfield is doing alright. Hopefully are forwards can improve 2nd half, maybe get Sesko on.

Solid if unconvincing first half, we are still far too easy to play through and when you have Cunha and Bruno giving the ball away your always going to concede the ball, let’s hope we don’t regret sloppy play.

We need to be more attacking, more aggressive in the duels but this game has already shown the fans just how valuable Dorgu is in this role for Carrick philosophy.

Cunha, Mbeumo and Bruno must show more in the second half or we’ll drop points in this game, Fulham are a decent side in good form but a focused United in the second half will score more goals hopefully. We must be less sloppy in possession.

We don't even need to sub anyone to make changes. Just put Cunha up front and Mbuemo on the left.

Im at OT. Decent half, but no control of the ball and we're struggling against the Fulham CBs. Need sesko on.

The left side isn’t working. Cunha hasn’t offered much and Shaw seems lost out there as Cunha seems to be nowhere near him.
I’d be tempted to push Diallo out left and bring Sesko on. Sesko could cause Anderson problems no he’s in a yellow.
