We have had a week to rest and prepare. The feel good factor should hopefully continue today. I am predicting a 2+ goal margin victory today for us.

The City and Arsenal games were great bringing back the feel good factor but we always have it in us to perform well against the bigger teams. This game will be telling to see if the team keep the moment or revert to type.

Lacey back on the bench. Hope he gets some minutes

We’ll put down a marker in the first half and be 2-0 up and playing an attractive passing game. Fulham will put us under pressure after HT but we’ll counter and win 4-0.

How is Maz not starting over Dalot though?
Personally I would have brought him in but some managers prefer not to change a winning team and Carrick has done that so far bar enforced changes. Can't really blame him too much

No, we need to win games like this. Pick the team that’s been winning.

You think Sesko would damage our chances of winning?

What games should he be starting if not a home game we should be winning?

Mbeumo has two goals in two since Carrick took over, playing well in both. Sesko not starting is hardly an atrocity given the facts

Dalot played well the last 2 games.
True but Carrick needs to show some flexibility and maz has better ability on the ball and more likely to help break down Fulham’s defence than Dalot is.

Don't think he would've started over Mbeumo, rather over Cunha. But then Cunha is also on one goal and one assist the last two

Unsurprisingly Cunha comes in. Personally with how I expect this game to go, Sesko should have come in as well at the expense or Mbeumo or Amad. I'm not convinced there's going to be space I'm behind in this game for Mbeumo to exploit. I'm guessing he is rewarding the players who have played well the last few weeks. I also would have Mazraoui over Dalot.

It will be a shame if Mount is injured again.

It's sensible to stick with a winning formula, especially when we're still a team that's hard to make any sound judgement on.

I'm still not sure what United will turn up today, even with the previous two great results under our belt.

Gutted Sesko isn’t getting a run out here today. I get the Cunha start but still would have liked to have Sesko deal up top

He would’ve started over Mbeumo upfront. Sesko hasn’t yet proven he’s worth starting there to the point of playing Mbeumo or Amad out of position

What games should he be starting if not a home game we should be winning?
Games when he starts because his characteristics are better than Mbeumo’s. Also, he will get 30 mins today for sure - so he has to perform in that spell.

In any game with 3 attackers - one of the 4 of Amad, Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko will be on the bench. Who would you bench instead based on most recent performances?

Yeah, but Cunha has really deserved a start hasn’t he? He’s proved that he’s playing well and I wouldn’t have been surprised if he had started even if Dorgu was fit (with Dorgu moving to LB)

    Surprised no Sesko

He's not great against low blocks - a counterattacking player at this stage of his career, really. He's a set piece threat, though, which could have been helpful (and may yet be helpful from the bench).

Mbeumo is also primarily a threat in behind but his overall play is a lot more refined than Sesko's.

Keeping Amad on the right (rather replacing him with Mbeumo) also maintains a bit of natural width in the attack - Cunha & Mbeumo worked well as #10s in a wingback system, but in a 4-2-3-1, it would leave the attack looking pretty narrow.

Sesko banished. Shame, I think he’s a very talented player. But he’s young, and the team that’s been winning deserves to start.

    His time will come.

Presumably we won't be playing on the counter today - I'd say Sesko is better suited up front, with Mbeumo on the right.

Carrick really doesn't rate Sesko, does he? It'll be interesting to see if the same approach works out, Fulham aren't likely to give us the kind of space that City and Arsenal did in forward areas, so the biggest weapon of Mbeumo will be nullified, especially as a no.9 rather than out wide where he'd get a bit more space to operate.

It's normal competition for places. He'll be fine. This is good for him and he'll have a fair chance to get in.

It's very different to Mainoo under Amorim IMO.
