Pretty sombring thought that some of the lads on show are our go to bench options right now. Appreciate some of them are rusty, but their overall quality is just nowhere near good enough.

We need to replace TFM, Mata, McTominay at half time - they are truly shockingly terrible

Not gonna take too much from this because motivation must be low but no one really forcing themselves into the side. Dan James was a big waste of £18m.

Bit boring. Not really impressed with the squad players, mad to think a lot of these were still regular starters up until the January transfer window.
Puts things properly into perspective doesn't it. Although McT didn't look quite as shit as he does since the restart and James looked like an actual footballer at times.

Lingard has actually looked like one of our better players. Looked sharpish. Mctominay , Mata and James are having games to forget. McGuire also has looked pretty calm when bringing the ball out of the back. We’ve had some openings but final ball quality has seriously been lacking.
Didn’t expect much more from an 11 that hasn’t played much. Fosu Mensah is having an alright game. Not bad, but nothing amazing.

Can't wait to see the back of him, unable to stand seeing him in the team.
I almost feel like apologising for writing about him because I’m bored of it myself

back his running like a head less chicken antics, he does not have good movement! He just moves a lot without thought.
I thought their defenders were taking the piss at one point when they played keep ball and scooped it over his head
-5 goals and their defenders still make lingard look like a mug

One of the worst performances I’ve seen from a United side ever. Quite amusing given there are no implications but it’s also very disappointing that some of these lot are given the chance to play for United and they play like this. Some beyond shocking performances out there tonight. Oh well. Better second half maybe?
We're 5-0 up and most of these players aren't match fit... What were you expecting?

Mata is more of a hindrance than a help, he just needs to go.

If people were wondering why Ole didn’t rotate his squad in the back end of the season have certainly got their answer tonight, utter tripe

Don’t get me wrong it’s absolutely awful from us but what do you expect being 5-0 up. It was never going to be anything else.

Watching Mata now is like watching a boxer who is going into fights one too many times and just looks lost and sad. Still has the brain but the legs went long ago.

Still a 2 year contract to go though.............
Yeah true that, as you kind of get the last Del La Hoya fight vibe off him.

Our first team is just too good, and these players know they have zero chance to break into the team. Fred, Mata, McT, Mata, they all seem to be demoralised. Lingard, well, he is just Lingard.

We better dont put all of our money into the Sancho deal. Our squad needs proper investment. Half of these guys aren't good enough to be squad players.

If we needed any more reminders that Lingard, James and Mata have no business being anywhere near a United squad, let alone getting on the pitch regularly. We need players who can rotate and make at least some sort of tangible impact if we're going to make any headway whatsoever on that 30 point gap to Liverpool. If it goes on like it has post-lockdown, playing exactly the same eleven every game (CL included), they'll be dead on their feet by November.

Fred and McTominay are decent back-ups but we desperately need a proper long term replacement for Matic, because neither of them have a hope of being it.

I'd like to see Chong and Mengi come on for Maguire and Williams, for some rest and injury-prevention. James at rb, TFM at lb, Chong left wing.

    Garner for Mata, he's gassed.

Must be watching a totally different game he’s lost the ball almost every occasion and just runs into people

I genuinely can not understand how Ole continues to play Fosu-Mensah ahead of Dalot. Even if he doesn't see a future at the club for Dalot, how the feck can he see one for Fosu Mensah. He is Championship level at best, and James is even worse. I hate the "Low on confidence" excuse as well. They are low on ability, end of. And if McTomminay is our back up for Matic going into next season, god help us. Feel sorry for Ighalo. And to a lesser extent, Mata. You can see his brain is still there but his legs are gone completely.

Agreed this is hard to watch but it was to be expected. We're not playing for anything. If we lose 4-0 we're still through to the next round. We're playing the dross who haven't played in forever and most of whom have already been deemed not good enough. Hopefully we're still not losing by the 60 minute mark and Ole gives the likes of Garner and Mengi some minutes.

Sorry come on we’re watching United at home to LASK should I be sat here satisfied that’s the best we can do? I’ve already said we’re 5-0 up and it doesn’t matter but I’m still disappointed.

If anyone wanted evidence as to why Ole continuously persisted with the same starting eleven for the premier league run-in then you’ve got your answer tonight.

How Ole looks at this lot in training and thinks "I'll assemble a team out of this lot and see what happens" is a good strategy I don’t know. There's surely some youth he could be giving a chance here.

45 min of my life I will never get back. Really look off the pace, little quality. Lingard has looked quite bright, not much to shout about yet though.
Lingard looks bright. It's his poor football that's the problem.

Just a drab match with the opponent showing a lot more energy because they've never played in a dream matchup like this before and don't really have enough quality to seriously score or threaten. United's B squad is firmly that, a B squad. They need match fitness for Germany and to protect the first XI.

Too much stock is always put into one match. This was the same team, aside from Bruno and Shaw that demolished LASK 5-0.
