Not sure if Weghorst should play because Leeds are a mid-table Bundesliga side and he scored a lot against them, or Rashford up top for the speed to break when we beat their press and exploit the spaces behind their fullbacks and Sancho or Garnacho on the left.

Leeds are missing Rodrigo and we have a day longer to recover. Hopefully that levels us missing Casemiro and our busy fixture list.

First game I am going to this season so gutted to miss Casemiro but hopefully we can do them.

This is the Leeds we are worried about?
We worry about every team we meet, be it prime Barcelona or Ebbsfleet United (all due respect). That’s what we do on here, especially match day threads.

On a more serious note, Leeds is still our rival even though they ceased to be a relevant one for decades now. In a derby anything could happen, form out of window etc.

That should be the mindset of every player, too. That way, standards don't slip.

We need to keep Gnonto quiet. He's their best player.

Someone explain why we've got yet anther midweek game, when no one else (except Leeds of course) has. we've played the same number of games of pretty much everyone else around us and will have played one more than Arsenal. as I said at the time of the postponement: feckin ridiculous

Would you rather see this game postponed and have Casemiro miss the cup final?

Red happened yesterday. The point still stands. I'm assuming it's because we don't have a week to play this (this is GW8 fixture) until March mid and there could be more rearranged games due to our FA cup commitments.

    We are in 4 competitions.
so what? this game was a postponement and as I said we have played same number as most others. you shouldn't have to play catch up if you aren't behind. One of those competitions only has one game left to run

Timing of the game is odd for the reasons you've said, I guess the PL are worried we won't have any further free midweeks after this when reality is we could get knocked out of the EL or FA Cup and have availability then. Swings and roundabouts of that happens though

Obviously though with the red card thank god we do have this game otherwise Casemiro would be missing the cup final

Because we have Europa League and fa cup and league Cup final filling up slots. Basically the first midweek opening we get, it gets filled. Brentford game needs to be rescheduled because of the final too.

Our schedule would ease up if we lose to Barca. But we're on course for the most games possible by a club in 1 season... Just if you added in the super Cup and community shield games basically.

Is it really not on TV in the UK, United vs Leeds?! Must be a first in the PL era.

It's not even like there's another game on taking priority, it's the only PL game that night. I know it's a rescheduled game, but it was due to be on TV before all the games that weekend were postponed. Surely it should still be part of Sky Sports' package of games? No doubt it's televised in every other country in the world though, right?

Anyway, please don't sack Marsch before Wednesday.

Think somebody said it wasn't in the first place, so they don't show it if re-scheduled. Also F.A. replay night which are being shown.

It's a consequence of being in all 4 comps. We don't have any other midweeks/weekends available. There is already the Brentford game needing a new date. If we beat WH in the next FAC round then Brighton match will also be postponed. If we win the following round then the Chelsea match is also a postponement.

Of course you could argue we'll get knocked out of EL/FAC at some stage so there will open up space in the schedule. But if we don't get knocked out and we haven't rescheduled these matches we'll basically be having 3 games in 5-6 days kind of scenarios towards the end of the season. That's the absolute last thing you want when you're going deep in competitions and chasing trophies with a thin squad.

We simply have to beat these lot. Leeds' last league win was 5th November.

    It wasn't.
Ah, you're right. I was certain it was, as it was a Sunday game, but looking into it, it was originally picked to be a Saturday 3pm game, but our Europa League game nudged it forward a day. Still, that's mad that this particular fixture wasn't chosen to be televised.

And now it doesn't clash with anything on Sky or BT, they still can't televise it. Bonkers.

Every United opponent brings their game raising face to the fight, but even without the Leeds slayer, Scott McTominay, and our talisman, Casemiro, we should be able to cruise through Leeds. We do need more from either Martial or Weghorst, whoever gets the start. And we do need a bit more end product from Antony.

Don’t want to see Weghorst, although Leeds are awful at defending set pieces.

Not sure on the status of Mctominay but I think it’s safe to assume he’ll be on the bench at best. That leaves us with Sabitzer to replace Casemiro and Fred partnering him.

I’m wondering if we could see Bruno on the right and Sancho in the central role. Could see Antony dropping to the bench.

I feel Martial will return too.

Leeds look shite but I can see them turning up for this being that they on the verge of the drop zone.

If we win, rinse and repeat my post for the next game

Leeds are one of the worst teams in the league right now. Should be six points this week. Even without Casemiro.

How about Bruno as the number 8 with Sancho as the number 10?

Might work at home and compensate for the lack of numbers in midfield

I don’t see Sancho starting already, I also doubt Antony will be benched by ETH.

Marsch will be sacked and we’ll have to contend with a new manager bounce for the 20th time this season
when we were a force nobody would change managers before two games against us, as it would most propably end in two defeats for the new one. hope the fear factor is back and marsh is sacked after sunday

And rightly so - Ebbsfleet have won 6 in a row with the goal difference of 17-4 - not a team to be taken lightly :) Former Leeds-youngster Dominic Poleon is in the best form of his life with 31 goals in 62 matches for the club

I hate to say this but I genuinely think we should just play squad players for the Barca matches. It'll suck to lose to them but we simply can't keep this kind of schedule up
