We are a shambles at OT this season, going to be 6 losses at home if it stays like this. Relegated Fulham will not be scared coming here that's for sure. I'm just worried we will go into the Europa league final on the back of some bad results, yes they may not be crucial results but if we lose this it's 3 defeats in 4 games.

Rashford needs to be subbed but I doubt Ole will be brave enough to hook him at HT.

Liverpool crushing the midfield battle right now, Fred and McTominay vs Thiago and Fabinho is a hilarious mismatch. I don't see us winning this. Oh and our set-piece defending under Ole is horrendous.

Not that we needed reminding, but just goes to show how valuable Maguire is. Reminds me how incredibly shaky they were before he arrived.

Rashford terrible on the right again, but why does Ole keep selecting him?

On current form, he should have been playing against Leicester, and Greenwood rested for tonight. Bizarre.

I think McTominay is actually the biggest weak link. He’s so weak on the ball in midfield, you just cannot have such a limited player in that spot.
He's been awful the last few weeks. Just in every way, not sure what's happened, but he's so technically poor. Fred looks twice the player. Fred.

I doubt it. That was a clever one from Jota.
Yes it was, but it was right there at his right foot. He didn't get the leg out enough.

Also not sure who's to blame for the feck up of the initial cross, henderson or mct.

Mct has a frew header to clear our lines and Henderson fights him for it, or does mct not get out of his way after a shoot from the keeper.

 Good to see there are no rational arguments left for the Hendo lovers.

Next season it'll be calamitous when we try to send De Gea on loan.
Why not just back both of them? They’ve both had pretty good seasons, and they’re both United players.

Just sloppy, we've completely let them get back into it. Second half FC again please.

He’s switched the play plenty and played some lovely long range passes, are you even watching the game? Made some really important tackles as well.
haha so switching the ball makes it a good performance? wow

Same old story. So lethargic and casual on and off the ball.

Fair play to Fred, don't rate the boy at all but he's had a decent half along with Bruno and AWB.

Everyone else needs taking out back..

Defenders don't seem to know what that white round thing is. All over the place: first goal not a great punch but should have been cleared; instead they panicked. As for the second, as soon as he struck the free kick, I said "goal".

Passing is poor, our supposed pace has been shown to be all hype (which I've been saying pretty much all season), no width, no real desire. All in all: shows how far of City we really are. City would have ripped this Liverpool defence to shred but we barely troubled them after we went ahead. Same old, same old. As Keano said, we might have secured Cavani for next season but we still have to go out and buy big for a goal scorer.

As for the penalty, at first I thought it was nailed on but on the replay you can see there was no follow through despite was Carragher and Gary were going on about: to me that's VAR working.

Worrying thing is, Salah has barely even shown up yet...

    Souness In annihilating Pogba shocker.

He is 100% right this time , and Pogba never turns up for these games , these are the games we dished out the big transfer fee for but all too often he just goes missing or worse when we need him most.

 It’s such a worry. Realistically we need two central midfielders. I just pray we find the right guy and he has a defensive/ball playing Bruno Fernandes impact in there.

Usual anti-McT tosh. Has scored more goals in the Prem than Pogba. It is 4-3 to the Scot. If he is shocking what is Pogba?
Ah yes because goals are the only ways to judge midfielders. Do you think McTominay is better than Pogba? He’s the most obvious player to upgrade in this side. We need someone who can pass a ball far better.

This was always likely to happen with 4 games in 8 days. :(

That's why I was delighted with the Villa win, and why I wanted Leicester and Chelsea to drop points in recent matches - it took the pressure of what was likely to be two defeats in 48 hours, and still means we can rest players for either / both the Fulham and Wolves games.

It's broken up our momentum though, and we're running the risk of further injuries ahead of the final.

I'd love an equaliser but can't see it as, psychologically as well as physically, 4 games in 8 days always likely to lead to mixing and matching and sloppy, haphazard performances.

Souness gleefully taking his chance to take a dig at Pogba after weeks of good form mere seconds after the half-time whistle.

His balls must have looked like Smurfs since January.

Shoehorning Pogba onto LW being exploited fully by Klopp and fair play. Every man and their dog know Pogba is poor defensively, so Ole plays him against the best attacking RB in the PL.

We need a proper defensive coach within the backroom set up, it's been evident for years now, yet never acted upon.

De Gea saves the first goal, for all the good henderson has its not shot stopping.

Rashford as terrible as usual been happening for a long time now he never looks interested.

Deserve to be losing but this game is empty cant even get into it no fans, no passion means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I think McTominay is actually the biggest weak link. He’s so weak on the ball in midfield, you just cannot have such a limited player in that spot.
Plus he's just not nimble footed to play against pressing team. He has to fundamentally rely on his upper body strength and when that fails him he's a very limited midfielder.

There's no way we could possibly go into next season without strengthening in that area, surely. It would be beyond negligent.

He’s being forced on to the right because we refuse to play a game without two defensive midfielders who are shite on the ball.
Fred has been fine but we don’t need two sitting like that.

If this is a dress rehearsal for the EL line up, heaven help us

Only saving grace this evening is the most frequent bumpers of the Ole out threads saying we need a CB, two CMs and a RW in the summer.

First club in history where the manager isn't get enough out of the players and half the starting XI need to be replaced at the same time.
