Given our resurgence to third place after the humiliation under Amorim and resurgence under Carrick, this is not a must-win occasion. It's a at-least-a-draw occasion.
Would be sweet to deprive them of CL qualification, but it's looking really unlikely even if we win. Too bad Chelsea and Brighton couldn't keep up.

Given Atwell is on VAR it's absolutely guaranteed and it'l be to Liverpools favour

Expect Sesko to be through on goal with Konate grappling with him as Sesko falls over & nothing given & then Wirtz is in the UTD box & Maguire puts his fingertips on Wirtz shoulder & goes down & after review, penalty for Liverpool & red card for Maguire. I hear bookies are offering odds on that happening.

After the Suarez matter, when the club and their deranged supporters embraced him after he racially abused Evra, I have no patience for Liverpool. Everton supporters nailed it when they unfurled the banner that read "Outraged by Everything -- Ashamed of Nothing".

But it is looking like Liverpool will hang on to fifth place at worst, but every one of their upcoming matches after us looks tricky:

    Chelsea at Anfield
    Villa away
    Brentford at Anfield

They could just bottle it, but I wouldn't bet money on it. If we do beat them, which I think we will but I'll take a draw, the heat will be on the scouse.

Didn’t Shaw pick up a knock against Brentford? Either way, I’d like to see Dorgu start as a conventional left back for the rest of the season to make a judgement. Admittedly, it may be an unfair judgement as he’ll probably only just about have his rhythm back by the time the season ends, but still - the basic principles of a fast, overlapping, touch line left-back is something I want to see in this team.

The game I wait every year. Hope we don't lose this one.

Just raise your level, smash them, secure CL and let them think about their own misery.

    Can't stand these c**ts.

Sesko starts for me in this one. Want to see him raise it against Lpool, think he would have their defenders in current form/state

Is it too much to hope Bruno gets 2 assists and gets the record vs these cnuts

Yes, we should play OUR game and let Liverpool worry about themselves....I have a long journey ahead of me, I'm setting off early tomorrow morning, please please please may the Gods of Football smile kindly upon us and help us smite the old foe!

There’s no game quite like this one. For me, it’s the biggest game in football.

    Must win.

Strange stat I read today. If we win tomorrow it will be the first time ever both Utd and City have done the league double over the dippers in the same season.
The stats a bit skewed as city have only done the double over them once

Difficult one to predict, we haven't been playing well for a while and I think we were somewhat lucky to get away with wins against Chelsea and especially Brentford.

Liverpool are on a slight uptick in form, 3 wins in a row now in the league. CL football for both clubs pretty much guaranteed so there isn't much at stake here other than pride. Could see this ending up as a draw.

Beaten only once against the „big“ teams this season, home form good, also our chance to put the nail in the coffin. 3-1.

Our entire PL history of results in this fixture:

    24/25 - L 3-0
    23/24 - D 2-2 (Fernandes, Mainoo)
    22/23 - W 2-1 (Sancho, Rashford)
    21/22 - L 5-0
    20/21 - L 4-2 (Fernandes, Rashford)
    19/20 - D 1-1 (Rashford)
    18/19 - D 0-0
1 Win in 7 is poor against that lot in Old Trafford. Hopefully 2 from 8 tomorrow.

Which is a perfect illustration of what an absolutely false & cheating position Man City have been in for the past 15 years compared to the previous 125 years of their existence.

Sick to death of under 30yos claiming Man City have always been a big club when anybody with any football knowledge know that is not the case.

    Apparently Isak injured

Not often we go in as favourites against these. I’d go with Mbeumo at the top with Amad and Cunha either side. Bring Šeško on second half

    The Danny Murphy years.

I'm sure we'll find a way to make Gakpo look like Batistuta anyway.

Salah, Ekitike, Isak out. Are they still down to their 3rd goalkeeper?

If so, no excuse not to be winning this.

Not saying it won't turn out to be true, but would be pretty perplexed if the Sun of all places are first to hear about any Liverpool news...

Edit: Ian Doyle implying it's true though, he'd be more reliable.

Yup agreed but even Cunha seems 50-50 for this game so who knows? Maybe our entire left hand side is out

    City don’t matter. Utter irrelevance
