    Cautiously optimistic about this today. I know you can never, ever tell, with these kind of games but if the players can't get themselves up and firing for this one, there's a lot more trouble to contend with.

    I do fancy us to pick up the three points, but I will happily take an entertaining draw.

    Considering they are nowhere near the standard of those years, I’d say that’s a good guess.

    Should be a good game, both teams are a level below quality wise.

    So just play with freedom and put on a 3-3 for everyone.

    There isn’t any jeopardy in today’s match really.

    Which is unusual for a United/Liverpool match but that’s where both teams are.

    Would prefer Amad to Mbeumo to take on Robertson but hopefully Mbeumo can show up today. Won't be an easy today, Liverpool's injuries have basically made them play an actual balanced team for once but they've got some obvious weaknesses that we have to take advantage of.
     
    Surely the heaviest we've been favourites for a game against them for a decade or so?

    I'm still not too confident. Would love to smash them but will take any win at all.
     
    We shouldn’t be losing this game, looking at the squads and starting XI’s today. A draw would be OK for both sides but we’re good enough to get the win.
     
    The closer we get to kickoff, the more confident I'm feeling. Looking at their front 3 compared to ours, and when you factor in home advantage, we should win this. I'm going for a comfortable 3-0 win.
     
    That is the poorest looking liverpool side that’s come to Old Trafford in maybe a decade. Reminds me of the good old days. We should be looking to put 3 or 4 past this bunch.

    I said 2-1 win earlier in the week but feeling more like 3 or 4 nil here now after seeing the two lineups

    In the good old days they were horrible game-raising cnuts and we barely ever beat them by more than the odd goal, even if man for man we were the stronger team in near enough every position.

    Feels like this will be tight and cagey. Bit of luck either way will probably decide it.
