    They probably will keep more possession as they're built to keep possession, that's what Slot wants. Doesn't make them a good side this season.

    It's a beatable Liverpool side but we'll have to be a lot better than recent games to do it.
     
    Think they’ll be more cohesive and uniformly aggressive than is associated with Slot. If we don’t match them for enthusiasm it’s going to be a long day.

    First time in years I've been confident coming into a game with Liverpool. That in turn makes me cautious though. I would love to absolutely hammer this lot today.
     
    We rarely perform well when we going into these sort of games expected to win. I hope we come out flying and don’t get complacent against this weakened pool side.

    If their midfield and centre backs play really well it could be a difficult game but this is the most confident we’ve felt against Liverpool for years. We should be winning this convincingly.
     
    No injury concerns today, that's a big relief.

    As far as I understand now, one more point this season does it, and we really should be able to get it today.

    First time I’ve felt this confident in this fixture since… before the 2-4 defeat in the 20/21 season.

    Really similar vibes here.
     
    Perhaps our strongest team. This is a must "not lose" game. On paper, we should be favorites. But form often goes out the window against these lot and the Leeds game showed it can go wrong pretty quickly if we're not careful. We need to match their intensity at the very least, not drop our heads if we go a goal down and keep going till the end because their defense can be got at.

    The biggest thing I want to see is the kind of start we had against Brentford extended for large parts of the game. The biggest thing I don't want to see is lack of effort and a nonsense ref decision impacting the game.
     
    The last time I was vaguely confident against this lot, we lost 7-0. So, my confidence today is not high.
     
    Just saw the Carrick presser, and I’m so impressed with how well he has handled it all.

    He is so chill that he’s calmed the whole place down. All his responses take the journos into an agreement phase and he explains his responses with only generic, plain vanilla stuff. Nothing to create a furore about, and even all the leading questions end up with flat answers.

    It’s amazing how the pressers have become almost irrelevant under him! Only relevant for injury updates (where his responses are also vague)

    Brighton losing yesterday meant that United have qualified for the CL. Now it's just about protecting 3rd place.
     
    I won’t have started Sesko for this one.
    I would have gone for Amad,Mbeumo and Cunha but in Carrick we trust or not.

    Keane being a real bollox again this afternoon. Really hate listening to so many of my favourite players these days. Miserable
