Absolutely dominated them. Would have been an absolute travesty if we hadn't won that!

At the end was incredible, Zlatan, Rashford, Mata, Mkhy, Martial, Pogba, Herrera all on there.

Van Gaal would have subbed both full backs, with other fullbacks and that would have done.
This impressed me the most, the balls shown by Mourinho, 2-4-4 formation. Showing no signs of that 'defensive' coach that people feared would be here. He's adapting to the club and LVG would have definitely been subbing the full backs

    Ach..away and print yer Shite!
Hands Up! I was so Fecking frustrated by Gibson's ineptitude, Boro's time-wasting and general Bastardy along with our lack of getting a 'break' that I couldn't watch for fear of having an anger induced heart attack.. turned my stream off at 82 Mins and went for a shower to calm down.....
Missed both Goals What a 'bottling' Twat!
Buzzin for New years Eve now though!

The irony, is that he might have got us quicker results if he had resorted to the style many tar him with!

However, he appreciates the style is pretty important, and only those who haven't watched our games would say we didn't perform well in most of those draws a while ago.

Chelsea away and City first half stand out as rare examples where we've been pretty poor.

Only Chelsea are playing better (and getting better results) than us. And they've won 13 in a row.

    Not bad, Jose.

I think this is the best shape and mentality United have been in since Fergie left. And I'm not basing this on the result by the way, we have played very well, and were threatening throughout the game and should have won the game more easily had it not been for luck and that idiot of a ref.

We have been making steady progress in the last 10 games now (regardless the results). If Mou can keep this going and build on this we could be contenders next season.

Those 4 home draws were costly. Imagine even half of those lost 8 points!

Good to see the wide players stepping up today. They are the key to us going places I feel.

Will be a tough pick at West Ham now, as bar Carrick coming back in, and arguably Shaw, that was our first 11 today!

Like Jose did at the end, he pointed at the players and did balls with his hands, yes that what he is learning them to have BALLS till the end.

The mental strength and winning mentality was there for all to see.

This is why Mourinho is such a great manager. He always manages to instill a winning mentality in his players.

The fact of the matter, however, is that we were playing against TWELVE men.

Mourinho was trying to be gracious towards Middlesbrough at the end, because Karanka is his good friend and former assistant. If we had lost the game, I think he would have called out the referee's mistakes a lot more.

Only downside is Herrera, Pogba, Valencia, Zlatan, Martial and Mkhitaryan playing 90 minutes. Might see Rashford and Lingard on Monday, but hopefully Herrera, Pogba and Valencia will be alright to play.

To think, some people on here still think we'll finish top four
What a sham. No way we are scoring twice. Our finishing all season has been utter wank.
And to think there are some on here who argue we have the best squad in the league.
Great , another hard luck story to wallow in at the end of the year.

Serious teams should not be losing or even drawing at home with the likes of Middlesbrough.
Absolute fecking disgrace. So tired of throwing away these games to teams we should be beating comfortably.
All this proves is we haven't quite got the squad to challenge for top 4. If we could keep a consistent 11 of our best players we look good enough. But rotation is needed during certain times of the season and we haven't got the depth to do that.
Dropping points again to useless teams, no corner has been turned.
The whinging is embarassing. This is Middlesbrough for feck sake. We should be able to whip them with a 2 goal head start. Shocking performance we are shite.
    Ref or no ref!
We are showing today why we are not top 4 quality. And we will be 16 pts off the top of the table.
    Cringe.
