Reading Football Club (commongly known as Reading, and nicknamed The Royals or The Biscuitmen) is a professional football club based in Reading, Berkshire, England. The team play in the Championship, the second tier of the English football league system. Reading were formed on 25 December 1871, following a public meeting at the Bridge Street Rooms organised by Joseph Edward Sydenham, who would go on to be club secretary. The early matches were played at Reading Recreation Ground, and later the club held fixtures at Reading Cricket Ground, Coley Park and Caversham Cricket Ground. The switch to professionalism in 1895 resulted in the need for a bigger ground and, to this end, the club moved again, to the purpose-built Elm Park on 5 September 1896. Reading were elected to the Football League Third Division South of the Football League in 1920.

Reading won the 1987–88 Full Members' Cup and were one of only two Second Division clubs to lift the trophy. The club's best performance in the FA Cup was reaching the semi-finals which they achieved on two occasions: once in 1926-27 and again in 2014-15. The club holds the record for the number of successive league wins at the start of a season, with a total of 13 wins at the start of the 1985–86 Third Division campaign and also the record for the number of points gained in a professional league season with 106 points in the 2005–06 Football League Championship campaign. Before going out of business in 1992, Aldershot were Reading's biggest rivals.[60][61] Aldershot were, geographically, the closest Football League club to Reading. Since Aldershot's exile, Reading's main local rivalries have been with Oxford United and Swindon Town. When the three teams had shared a division, their rivalry was referred to as the "Didcot Triangle". Reading play their home games at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Play the youngsters and fringe players for this and the Forest 2nd leg. But knowing ETH he will probably play a full strength team in both games

Bruno, Shaw, Rashford, Casemiro, Varane, Antony, Martinez should all play and then should all be rested against Forest on Wednesday.

Hopefully we'll go a little stronger than we may have done now that the 3-0 lead allows us to rest more players from the start for the second leg v Forest than we may have otherwise have done.

Rashford on the bench for both games, to give him a rest and Garnacho some game time. Start Pellistri one of them, Antony the other. Casemiro and Varane to start v Reading but only subs v Forest, etc.

For the Reading game I'd probably go with....

    Heaton

    Wan-Bissaka
    Varane
    Maguire
    Malacia

    Casemiro
    Fred
    Eriksen

    Antony / Pellistri
    Weghorst
    Garnacho

The likes of Rashford and Fernandes on the bench should we need them. But, hopefully, we won't need them and the likes of Mainoo can come on as sub instead.

Rest. The tail end of February has the most crazy fixtures for us. Ridiculous actually. Rest players for the next two games.

Rest them all. Even give EtH rest. Baldness needs time to recharge.

We can surely rotate here... It's reading. At Old Trafford. Have Rashford, Casemiro, Martinez, Eriksen and Bruno on the bench to come in if needed. Really hope to see that front 4 playing though.
