Fotbal Club Sheriff, commonly known as Sheriff Tiraspol or simply Sheriff and nicknamed The Wasps, is a Moldovan professional football club based in Tiraspol, a city located in the unrecognised breakaway state of Transnistria. In summer 1996, the football team Tiras made its debut when it was chosen for participating in Division B of the National Championship of Moldova. Before the second leg, Sheriff Company became the general sponsor of the team. On 4 April 1997, the sports club of the same name was established and headed by Company President Victor Gushan. The team was entrusted with the task to enter the National Division of the Championship of Moldova.

Most experts were of the opinion that Sheriff would become the main opponent to the multiple Champion of Moldova – Zimbru from Chisinau. But Sheriff went a step further, and have since established a strict monopoly by amassing 20 championship titles, 11 Cups and 7 Super Cups – all competition records. On the European stage, Sheriff has reached the group stage of the UEFA Europa League on five occasions and became the first ever Moldovan side to reach the group stages of the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League, where they would go on to beat eventual champions Real Madrid. Sheriff plays its home games at the Sheriff Stadium, to which the club moved in 2002.

Would like to see Iqbal and Garnacho but that won't happen until pre-season.

Should be smashing these. I'd say wholesale changes, but that's not how Erik ten Hag rolls, is it? But at least Dalot and Antony deserve some rest, especially Dalot. He has been playing non-stop. Question is if AWB is even fit?

Ronaldo if he apologizes will come back in. And we need to rest some of these guys... But also, feck him and he shouldn't play again? Maybe give Garnacho a game.

Dalot, Antony, Fernandes all need a rest
They can kill off the game in the first half and rest in the second. We need to win both games to win the group. This one we have to win handsomely or we'll need a 2+ goal win in Sociedad.

Group winner qualifies directly for round of 16. Runner up will play a qualifying round against the CL rejects. We really don't need those extra games against the likes of Barca, Sevilla, Atletico, Juventus etc. We already have two PL games needing rescheduling.

Someone who refuses to play has no business being at the club.
It happens a lot, they’re emotional humans and make feck ups. If Ten Hag is happy to have him back and use him all is well. Every single fan should be backing the managers choices, he’s surely earning that respect from them.

Hopefully we can take off Martinez and Dalotto give them a rest and maybe give Garnacho a run out.

We need to rest some players:
    DDG
    Dalot-VNL-Martinez-Malacia
    ------------Eriksen-McT-------------
    -Antony------Bruno------Elanga-
    -----------------Ronaldo---------------

Dalot desperately needs a rest too but I don't even know where AWB is...
Hopefully we, for once, score like 3 goals by the 60th min and rest Bruno, Antony and Eriksen but I doubt it.

Happened against Real Volcano too where he erupted from the stadium at half time just because he was subbed off. That time ten Hag tried to tone it down by saying there were others too (even though the 'others' had played a game in a different country the day before and weren't part of this particular squad). This clown has history of letting the club down and would do it again in a heartbeat. He only cares about himself.

We don't need a negative influence like that around the squad. Get rid of all the bad apples.

I expect a decent bit of rotation here. A win is a must but the real big game is away at Sociedad.

    Maybe something like this.

    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Martinez Malacia
    Mctominay Iqbal
    Garnacho Eriksen Elanga
    Rashford

If AWB cant go we should just play Pellistri there, Dalot needs a rest.

Will Martial finally be fit again? Would be a good game to get him up to speed again

Strong team first half. Can reassess at HT whether we should persevere with chasing the GD down, or just settle for getting the three points.

Obviously have to win this and expect to do so without too much drama: certainly will if we plays as we did against Spurs and Chelsea.

Like to see Dubravka given a game if he's fit/healthy again. Keepers need minutes like all players. If DDG gets injured and he's not had game time, that's asking for trouble. Also like to see one or two youngsters get some time (particularly Garnacho and Mcneil)

We have another games in 3 days after this one. We should rest a few of our key players this game, don't want another injuries like the Varane one.

This is the level of opponent that Ronaldo deserves to be playing against. Hope he converts some of the humble pie into goals again.

Dalot needs rest - not sure who can play there if AWB hasn't been annexed.

As much as some players need rest, ten Hag will want to top the group.

    I'd go for

    De Gea
    Bissaka/Lindelof - Maguire/Lindelof - Martinez - Malacia
    McTominay - Fred
    Elanga - Eriksen - Sancho
    Martial

Yeah, win the first half and then use 2 subs at halftime for Eriksen and Dalot seems like a possible compromise. Lindelof starts to get used to playing with Lisandro. I think Rashford can be used a lot because he'll probably have the World Cup off, Martial will come back, and there's Garnacho as an option up top, it's not like Rashford wins any headers really so we're not losing a ton just playing him up there and being the same type of 9 who's a threat running at CBs when space opens up, if nothing much else.

    Dig up stupid!
Is it more disrespectful or less disrespectful to pick Ronaldo for this one?

Id rather he played but imagine he'll still be in the dog house. Hopefully martial can get 15-20 mins at the end

Ronaldo plays for me, he's had hid tantrum and ETH made his point.

Simple truth is we need to rotate the side to keep everyone fresh.

I'd also like to see what Pellestri has to offer at some point as well.

He is at the club though.

Play him because others need a rest and it would go a long way to ending all the drama.

Feels like a game where we could rest a few key players but it's obvious EtH wants to win the group so I expect a strong-ish team to keep pace with Real Sociedad

Wonder if Ronaldo will get booed if he starts? Kind of hope not as we don't need more drama on that front :nervous:

Martial 45 mins if fit. If Ronaldo is out the doghouse then I'd start him simply to give others a rest. Hoping Sancho can regain some confidence

Goal difference doesn't matter to be fair. It goes to H2H if both teams are on level points. But we need to win this match

We need to win this. Need maximum points from the remaining Europa games.

    De Gea
    Malacia - Lindelof - Martinez - Shaw
    McTominay - Casemiro
    Antony - Eriksen - Bruno
    Rashford

Ronaldo can piss off. Another evening of everyone pity passing to him while he struggles to run, control the ball and miss chances? No thanks.

Bit of a tough decision for Erik… we need the win but we could also do with upping our GD. Top spot would be crucial and save us from playing an extra game. We also don’t want to burn out key players when we have a game 3 days later. I think a mixture of experience and youth can easily win by 3 goals against sheriff.
