I say start Pogba (in for Fellaini) with Carrick, and drop Rooney (moving Mata to #10) to make room for Mkhitaryan, Lingard or Rashford. Don't care which, but Miki needs to get a start nice and early so it doesn't become a 'thing', and the latter two both deserve a spot more than Rooney.

Don't expect Mourinho to actually make the Rooney change, but you have to think when Pogba does come in, Fellaini's the obvious one to make room.

    Koeman is Everton manager.

We played them two weeks ago.
    :wenger::lol:
    I'll grab my coat.
Dunno what that was about. Maybe there will be lots of goals then, Dunno anything about Puel and defensive organization tbh

I hope Pogba starts but probably just a sub. Other than that I think Carrick will replace Fellaini and Lingard back in instead of Mata (if he is fit??). I think it will be a comfortable win because I feel like the team will be buzzing with energy for their first home game.

With Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Mourinho himself making their Old Trafford debuts, it should be quite an occasion.

I hope Mourinho enjoys it and that Friday marks the beginning of Old Trafford becoming a fortress once again.

I expect the atmosphere to be the best in a long while, so I hope Mourinho and the players harness that and start quickly.

Feels good to look forward to games again.

Excited to watch Pogba, I hope to see him from the start but my head tells me he will be a sub. Either way will be a fun game to watch. Main thing is we get the 2nd win.

Whether it's Pogba from the start or on the bench, it will be great to watch him on Friday night.

I'm hardly at work this month, but Friday is one day I am working. Can't believe I'm missing it. Home debuts for our 5 acquisitions (including manager). Old Trafford should be in good voice and it should be quite an occasion. Southampton will be quite confident having turned us over a couple of times recently. I reckon we'll put that right though. Pogba to play some part, I reckon from the bench to get the crowd the chance to show their appreciation and also because he might not want to change today's midfield after a decent performance.

I want it to be a 4-3-3 with Pogba getting into the team but it will most likely be a 4-2-3-1.

I'm expecting two changes in our line-up from today. Pogba and Lingard in for Herrera and Mata. Predicting a solid 3-0 win for us.

I can see the exact same line up as Bournmouth. The Pogfather to come on for the last half hour probably for Ander. Noone deserves to be dropped after todays game , especially Blind.

 this offseason bubble may well deflate but damn it feels right.

It isnt just that teams fans hate us again that excites me, its thats teams should be properly worried about facing us again. Read this on a saints forum:

This seasons Man Utd are a lot better though and have a better manger so it would be bloody hard to get a result but you never know though early season form is usually all over the place for everyone so a few shocks are always assured.
In the past few years teams like Southampton, Swansea etc have come to Old Trafford thinking they have a very good chance of leaving with 3 points and they were right. We need to nip that attitude in the bud right away.

Old Trafford will be bouncing on Friday. Jose's first real game at our stadium. Zlatans first game there and Pogba..... so excited. 8pm kick off, everybody will be proper boozed up before the kick off. Stretford end will be brilliant, wish I had tickets for this game. Expecting an unreal atmosphere, can see us smashing them this time. They have done well against us in previous years but we'll be up for it. Bring them on!

Do we reckon that Pogba will be slotted into the starting line-up right away?\

I feel Mourinho will sub him on in the second half.

I think we'll start with the same team as today and bring Pogba on around the 60 minute mark.

I still can't believe I'll be there in person to watch. Ever since I watched United in NYC over the years, OT seemed like another world away.

I do believe Pogba will start, won't play the full 90 obviously. Probably taken off at the hour mark. Should be a straightforward victory. I also hope Mkhitaryan starts. He hasn't made the first 11 in two consecutive weeks now.

Start the same team as today probably. Wouldn't throw Pogba in straight away.

Would like to see Pogba start here, he should be fit enough.

Will he bring Smalling back in? It will be hard to drop Blind since I expect us to have a lot of the ball at home and he is such a good passer. Id like to see Mkhy's pace at home with Mata or Jesse coming on at the 60/65 along with Herrera for Pogba who probably can't go 90 yet.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Blind - Shaw
    Carrick - Pogba
    Mkhy - Rooney - Martial
    Zlatan
Hope Herrera, Jesse/Mata, and Rashford all get on.

Time to put down a big marker at home and I fully expect us to hit the, for 3 or 4 goals.

Can only see one change with Mkhitaryan coming in for Mata.

Wouldn't even be surprised if its an unchanged XI.

About time we beat these at home! Have we done so since they came back up to the Prem?

I can remember successive 1-0 defeats under Van Gaal and a 1-1 under Moyes. Can't remember playing them again under SAF?

Anyway, i'm going for a 3-0 win. I'm really looking forward to this! It's been a while since i've been excited for the next United game as soon as the last one has finished!

Think we beat them under SAF when Pochettino was their manager and it was a very lucky win. We struggled to cope with their pressing game.

I'm thinking Pogba and Mkhitaryan will come off the bench. It seems Mkhi isn't showing enough in training or in the minutes he's played since Lingard and Mata seem ahead in the pecking order.

Obviously Rooney will play, so we'll go with the same formation as yesterday, but here's what I'd like to see...

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Blind Shaw
    Carrick
    Schneiderlin Pogba
    Lingard ibrahimovic Martial

Dream scenario, Pogba is on the bench. We're drawing 0-0. 70 minutes comes. Rooney off, Pogba comes on. The reception he receives, incredible. Then 30 yards out - Pogba Pop. Top corner. Flood gates open, 3-0.

Could see us doing something like this. Rooney as a sort of hybrid, being a number 10 when we've got the ball, getting back without.
