Brilliant result and great game - we are far from clicking. Players like Martial are still rusty and not up to speed but we look deadly and that is w/o Micky Targaryen or Rashers on the field. Zlatan is scoring, Valencia and Fellaini are playing well, Bailly is a titan at the back (though rash at times - just like Vida was), but Pogba - what a player! Strong, skillful and a true box-to-box player finally. Havent seen that in our side for so long. Even Rooney looked better - great cross for the first goal.

I think if we get everyone up to speed we will be deadly.

We've missed a player like Zlatan so much with the ability to suddenly pop up with a goal out of nowhere. Could play a very similar role to RVP's in Fergie's last year. Fantastic header and tucked away the penalty too.

It wasn't an amazing performance, we never had to get out of second gear as Southampton had a lot of the ball but never truly tested De Gea but we were solid and got the job done. Typical Mourinho.

Pogba showed how much a midfielder like him has been needed too already. Can't wait to watch him every week.

I like what Fellaini gave us... I love Herrera's contribution to counterattacking. I like all 3 right now! Jose will find a permanent match... But you're right, Fellaini is earning PT...

Surprised by Smalling not being included. I thought Mourinho would give him minutes since he was one of his starters against, for instance, City in two weeks. Smalling is going to have to fight for his place. And with the additional Fonte business, it's not looking so good for him.
I think he'll win his way back into the team. He's too good a defender to overlook. Blind is destined for midfield IMO

Congrats on the win, only caught 15-20 min live. A few things stood out. Valencia seems like the old Valencia which clearly makes a big difference. Ibra being a great goalscorer is not a revelation but whenever he converts a header rather than a chilena, that stands out. Pogba looked excellent, seemed to play very deep early and then got more forward & aggressive as the match picked up - doing so with relative ease too.

Still early like with every team with big changes all around, it'll be a different team in a few months but a convincing start
