Just a detail, but why are people putting Martial on the left and Rashford on the right-wing? The two last times they're both on the pitch it was the opposite.
I'd say because it is Martial best position and people (and by people I mean me) are hoping he gets to play in it again.

I hate these early kick offs. Feels like we've had a seasons worth of them already and it's only October.

It comes down to who produces best on that left side and that's Martial. If the last few games with Rashford have shown anything, is that the kid has a knack for goals but as a winger he isn't quite there with his play.

I've seen him waste and mess with the ball trying to beat 3 men when put through instead of opting for a simple pass to better positioned players to score. This happened every games, tried to beat to many players while available options are waiting for the ball to be passed and they could either be facing straight at the goal or in a dangerous position.

Martial on the left is much better. He only needs to have even the fraction of the form he had last season and that should be enough to kick off from him.

No one seems to have it in their line ups but is there a chance that Rooney is recalled to the starting line up - Jose may have seen how we only scored once he came on last night. Maybe Rashford to be rested?

If he thinks like that, there's no point of him watching entire matches.

Mourinho should be able to tell that we lacked tempo and fast transition from the midfield which didn't help our case yesterday. Adding Blind who was terrific against Leicester plus his much needed passing from the back and we're off with a good team to play some football.

What is the deal with all of the mega early Sunday games?

I shall be recording it in case I don't wake up, but it's not the same.
    Not interested in MLS, brah.
Yeah its not is it? Even though you can't influence anything shouting at your tv it feels better if its live.

LATEST TEAM NEWS FOR STOKE CLASH

Jose Mourinho says Phil Jones will definitely miss Manchester United's clash with Stoke City on Sunday, but he hopes both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw could be available.

The Reds boss confirmed Jones still faces "more weeks" on the sidelines as he recovers from a knee injury, while Mkhitaryan has been training with the first team this week and Shaw is bidding to overcome illness.

"Phil Jones is the only one with an important injury and definitely out for more weeks to come," explained the manager at his pre-match press conference, conducted at the end of Thursday's win over Zorya Luhansk. "Micki is training now with the team. Luke is ill but hopefully he will train with the team too [on Friday]. We are fine in terms of our condition."

Mourinho also revealed that Tim Fosu-Mensah was forced off with a knock in United's Europa League victory which meant he was unable to give winger Memphis Depay the time on the pitch he had planned.

"Every game I know more about my players, especially the ones that are on the pitch. Obviously I would like to have other players playing more so I can see more and learn more about them," explained the boss, when asked whether the tough fixtures in October will tell him more about his playing staff.

"I had in my mind to give Memphis 20-25 minutes [on Thursday night], but I couldn’t with the way I had to make the changes and the problem with Tim Fosu-Mensah meant I had to play a right-back [Ashley Young]. But we need the squad, that’s for sure."

Good I was about to ask about the Stoke game press conference. Mou should just forget about Jones, it's simply not happening. And glad to hear Miki is getting closer to a return. Hopefully Shaw also recovers quickly from his illness.

The fourth lunch time PL match in a row, isn't it? Ridiculous. Schedule-wise works for me as we're 2hrs ahead, but I always get the feeling that the team is not ready/prepared, feels like we're always crap at these early kick-offs. Now Sat 17:30 ko's, a feeling based on nothing that we always win these

The TV stations are obsessed with showing United, that's the reason we're on at midday. Europa league has meant we're on Sunday's the vast majority of the first few months of the season, the TV stations are taking advantage of this and are showing all our Sunday games regardless of how shite the fixtures are.

There hasn't been a single United game not televised yet this season, the next three are televised as well.

They even choose to show the Northampton match over all Premiership fixtures.

I like to see Pogba play as a #10 with Herrera and Carrick behind him supporting the back four.

I'd personally start with the same midfield as the one that faced Leicester as we don't really need two holding midfielders against Stoke. I mean, they've scored the least amount of goals in the league and have one of the worst defences! They're there for the taking imo.

Hate playing against teams that are in bad form because it usually makes them want to turn up against us more than they would.

If we are going to have a lot of Sunday games I wish they'd put us in the 4 O'clock spot.

The 14:15 & 16:30 fixtures tomorrow are televised, too, no?

I shouldn't have to leave the house on a Sunday morning just to go watch a football game.
If I'm still asleep on the sofa at 10:30 somebody wake me up. And please leave a glass of water.
