Mou made a big mistake by playing our first 11 in the EL. The players weren't fresh enough in the second half, Stoke looked even slightly better at times in the second half before Martial's goal. And it is down to lack of energy to play them off the park, as Citeh or Pool would have done in the same circumstances.

Now it's Mourinho;s fault? I can;t beleive people still insist on blaming every manager we've had instead of the players. I could have scored at least 1 of Pogbas chances today.
It's not Mourinho's fault that we didn't score in the first half - but he must surely take the blame for us falling apart in the second. And last time I checked - he had a say in the team and in the way we played

A single goal is not enough to secure the victory, even against Stoke City. A disappointing result. Credit for Rooney for his impact of Martial goal.

After all i have read in the last 10 minutes here I think that half of the people here either did not watch the game but only the result or they just cannot tell the difference between football, American football and Australian football. We played a good game, created huge amount of chances that last year would take us half a season to create and one onlucky blunder from DDG cost us 2 points. I am pretty optimistic after this game. We are really improving...
We are definitely better to watch this season and this was a very unlucky game aided by shit finishing but you cannot afford to drop 8 points in the opening 7 games. We have improved but so have City and Liverpool plus Arsenal and Spurs just as strong. We were top of league at this stage last year and we were dire to watch. I'm optimistic we will improve but I think we already have a small mountain to climb. If we can get 4 points from the next two away games we can really push on but right now I don't believe we will get more than one. Massive disappointment today.

I seldom buy that argument for young professional players.

Was a goalkeeping error and shit finishing that cost us today, simple as that.

It's almost irrelevant how many chances you create if you can't put some of them away. The football we're playing is an improvement but playing some attractive stuff is all well and good but it doesn't get you points on the board, finding a way to win whatever the style is the main aim...the pretty stuff can come at a later stage for me.

Well I dont care about it as well. What I care about is that I see huge improvement in our play and as long as we create so many chances the points would come. I am very angry about the result but am pleased with the performance...It is 9nly the beginning of Mou's reign and I am pleaed with what I am seeing...

I completely agree with you..Such a pity...But I am sure that all teams will lose points because the league is more competitive than ever.

In the most competitive PL season to date. City; Liverpool; Arsenal; Spurs all look like finishing above us. We can't afford to drop points against dross like today and it's all down to complacency. DDG and Pogba think they're better than they are and that cost us 3 points today.
Well we are 1 point off 4th place with 93 points to play for so... Top 4 not gone.

United should have attack more from the left wing as Martial can use his trickery and pace to create more chances for Zlatan and Pogba. Bringing on Memphis is mistake as Felliani could have caused more problem with his strength and height.

Bottom of the league drawing at home can only be considered shambolic.
What's shambolic has been the last 3 years where we haven't looked like a cohesive team full of funamental problems like personnel, tactics, confidence etc.

The dropping of Rooney and the past week has shown we have a clear plan and Mourinho is pushing for it. Will it be enough to win the league/top 4? Maybe not but then the harsh reality is that we should be looking at the long term and not instant miracles because we're not good enough to warrant that expectation.
