Sunderland Association Football Club (nicknamed The Black Cats), are a professional football club based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England; and were founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers Association Football Club by James Allan. Although they haven't been competitive in recent seasons, Sunderland were one of the most successful clubs in the nation through the late 19th century, and the early parts of the 20th, winning 6 league championships between 1892 and 1936, and were termed the 'Team of All Talents' at the turn of the 20th century; aside from winning the FA Cup twice and the League Cup once. The club plays its home games at the Stadium of Light, and has a long-standing sporting rivalry with neighbors Newcastle United in a match termed the Tyne-Wear Derby.

Is Rojo suspended for the game? I saw he got his 5th YC on BT.

    Anyways team for me:

    De Gea

    Valencia --- Jones -- Smalling -- Darmian

    Carrick

    Herrera----Pogba

    Mikhi---Ibra ---Lingard

    Lets kick on...

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Valencia---Jones---Smalling---Darmian
    -----Herrera--Carrick----Pogba-------
    Mkhitaryan----Zlatan-----Martial/Lingard

Subs: Romero, Blind, Bailly, Fellaini, Rooney, Mata, Rashford

Rojo suspended I believe? Hopefully Bailly will be ready, then he can give take Rojo's place instead of Smalling.
No need to change it too much, can ring the big changes for the game after this one.

No need for Carrick to play in this one, Sunderland are going to park the bus

4-0 United. Moyes will talk about his stint at United and he expected more time after getting a 6 year contract.

How the hell is this not on TV? I was sure with this being Moyes first return to Old Trafford it would be shown on Boxing Day, the games they have on that day are dull as dishwater.

A chance to give Moyesie a tiny little bit of retribution for his appalling work here!

Play the best team for this one, then rest a few for the Boro game, as that comes just before the awkward West Ham away.

Why do people keep puting Blind at LB in their predictions when they know Darmian will play there?

Cant wait us to smash them, I also think Mou will come to get our team extra motivated to prove how pathetic decision was to hire David Moyes.. dont expect nothing less than 4 goals scored by us... sunderland our dogshite. Saw their first half today and some of the players doesnt even look champioship level

Boro will be a tougher game than this and West Ham away at their fancy big stadium won't be a tricky game either

My sure I agree with resting carrick, play him and let pogba roam free.
Sunderland will park the bus so we need the likes of pog to have as little responsibility as possible

Fortunately Mourinho will not be be taking them for granted.
I expect this to be closer than people think.
Definitely, Moyes will understandably come here to just defend, a la Anfield. 1-0/2-0.

Not on telly? Is this some kind of sick joke?

How can the return of The Chosen One not be a nationally televised event? Hijacking every channel like the end of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Outrageous.

Not sure what to do with Bailly, hate to break up this partnership and Valencia has been one of our best players...

Smalling/Blind that did well last season or the return of Smalling/Jones? When is the last time the later started a match? Had to be last year no?

The 5 next to Rojo's name was his squad number. Not the number of yellows he has
