Was hoping Shaw would finally get dropped.
The thing is, I actually don't mind us starting with a 3421. If its working during the game, then continue. If not, there's no harm in changing to the system above to try and spark a change. Unfortunately, our manager is too stubborn and tactically inept to do so.Man won’t even change to save his job.
Part of me has respect for that. Just get rid quickly.Think Mount over Cunha is probably the right call at the moment.

I think he's made it hard for himself to change now, he probably thinks that would be seen as the sign of total weakness and that if it didn't work instantly then that would be the end for him.
He's probably not entirely wrong but the problem is that what we are doing isn't working and the end is rapidly approaching anyway.
So our new 60m man is dropped after 5 games. Difficult to take the call seriously when Shaw retains his place at the back.It is going to be:

He's not changing, and even if he did...there's no guarantee we would be better given that we haven't been training for a different formation.

Being a new signing doesn't mean you start every game and Luke Shaw is not really relevant to this, unless you want Mount or Cunha at LCB.At least Yoro is back.

Seriously, though. Just because we got ‘battered’ in that game doesn’t mean the same thing would happen today. It’s not as simple as copying and pasting results. If Glasner came in with the same system, the performances wouldn’t be identical because managers apply tactics differently.

Yes, he's played Mount there before so makes perfect sense. Only 3 United players have made assists in the PL this season, and they are alle defenders: Dorgu, Dalot and Maguire. We need more from players like Amad, Mbeumo, Cunha and Bruno.My 5 at the back shall always play.
