Nah but he does need to start impacting games

He was unlucky not to score 2 or 3 in the first few games then got injured.

I’d rather his goal threat over hard working Mount who hasn’t impacted a game in 3 years.

The left side of the defence and midfield is a big worry. Dozy Dalot liable to go ballwatching and Luke Shaw also with his switching off moments. If Sunderland have pace on that side were are in trouble.

Glad we saved Lammens to start his first game at home, now just hope it works out.
Dalot + Shaw though has me quite worried.

Impressive that Sunderland have only conceded 4 times so far. Would love to score early to get them out their comfort zone but doesn't sound like it will be easy.

To keep him on his toes and show him that he ain’t guaranteed to start. I mean he ain’t exactly done anything yet as he, 0 goals and assists… and was quite greedy against Brentford
‘Quite greedy’ so he’s the player we signed from Wolves…and then were shocked that he plays like how he played at Wolves. Do people think those long range goal compilations was him scoring his first attempt

Our defence will probably guarantee that Isidor has his best game since he took the one ring for himself.

People will finally shut up about Lammens. Dorgu and Cunha deservedly dropped. Dalot on that side, though... Not much choice, I guess.

Just hope Bruno won't have to do everything, including scoring. Mbeumo or Sesko getting the ball in the dangerous area, and finishing it off, as that's how it should be.

    Keep it for once simple.

Really excited to see what time Maguire replaces Yoro.

Would be interesting to see Mount and Bruno interchange in that centre role. Give Bruno freedom to get forward and have Mount get tge call to drop back to cover.

Shaw and Dalot defending the left side, both starring in the 1996 movie "Sleepers". £100 one of them or both fall asleep or do something braindead that leads to us conceding.

Mainoo the only academy player in today’s squad. I’ve always thought that too much is made of that record, but it does seem like it could go this season.

Expecting a Burnley 2 Electric Boogaloo where we create a bunch of chances but capitalize on way too few, and we leak a few goals as well. Squeak a win, please.

Also: finally all that whining about starting Lammens can end. Let's hope it isn't replaced by other kinds of whingeing

Personally I think its an incredible record. If it goes to me it further erodes what's left of the soul of the club. We seem to have lost whatever it meant to be Manchester United. Mainoo will be gone if Amorim is still here for the next window.

The best we can hope for here is an ugly win, which I'd take in a heartbeat. I haven't watched Sunderland besides the opening weekend, but they seem to be quite a decent side currently and don't concede too many goals. Combine that with our usual inability to score and you can see where this might go Tomorrow.
Long term an ugly win is nowhere near the best we can hope for

I know currently nothing about Sunderland except that duo of Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips, and Amad used to play for them

There's enough bench spots that managers would just shove random young players on the bench just to not lose it.

It used to mean a lot more. Having 1 token player on the bench to keep it means nothing though.

He could stick Heaton on the bench as a second reserve keeper and it would technically keep the record intact, but it would be an utter sham

This is definitely not a 4-3-3. Even if you try to play it with Mount and Bruno on the pitch it won't be anyway. It will be on paper but in practice it'll be Ten Hag's donut formation with Casemiro being exposed again. We already tried it 2 years ago and it failed massively.

You can't play 4-3-3 with not one but two attacking midfielders on the pitch. The only way we can play a 4-3-3 formation properly is by having Casemiro, Ugarte and Mainoo all on the pitch.

All this money spent and were starting Shaw and dalot in defence (and dalot on the left)
    And Bruno in a two...

    Insane to see

Incoming first clean sheet of the season for us? Will win this, and continue an up and down season, and show signs of improvement. Hope we can actually kickstart a winning run of few games at least..
