I can’t seeing winning this one with Ruben in charge. Sunderland have been solid. The only potential saving grace is that we’re playing at home. I think Ruben will be sacked after this game.

Sunderland look really solid, won't be as easy as we probably thought when we first saw the fixture list (also after seeing us play so far this season). Brentford weren't that good and yet beat us 3-1.

If we keep playing this current system, which we 99.9% will and with Bruno out of position, Maguire, Dalot and Shaw in the starting lineup, we will probably lose.

Gotta love the positivity this team is currently radiating and giving us fans.

Seems like pretty much the nightmare opponent. Someone all our players will assume they just have to show up to beat and they are a side with personality and energy.

We might win just on the law of averages but I certainly wouldn't be betting any money on it.

They'd be a bit thick to make that assumption, considering they couldn't even beat Grimsby

They'll dominate us possession and chance wise.

We might get a penalty and sneak a 1-0

I’ve a feeling this will be Ruben’s last game regardless of result.

I've a feeling I've read this since last season and yet here we are. Lining up players where they don't belong.

Get shot of Ruben and put the rest of the season to caf lineup votes. Sub choices can go to the highest bidder of a live auction at set intervals throughout the game, pre match & halftime motivational duties go to the median pissed up middle aged man or woman picked from the crowd. Luckyscout in as technical director.

Probably get more points than sticking to Ruben's master plan.

Impossible to predict, just like any of our games.

Imagine Bayern, Real or Barca being in a similar position. Also Impossible.

Hopefully Amorim's last game in charge.

Nice for Amorim that the club has no standards so if he wins this he is safe for at least another 5+ games.

It's a disgrace If he is still the manager for this game

Sunderland are going to turn up and play us off the part aren’t they. Sad times.

    What I'd play:

    ..........................Sesko............................
    .................................................................
    Cunha...............Bruno..............Mbeumo
    .................................................................
    .............Casemiro.....Mainoo..................
    .................................................................
    Shaw................................................Dalot
    ...................de Ligt.....Yoro.......................
    ..................................................................
    .......................Lammens..........................

What I think he'll play, in what will hopefully be his swan song:

    ..........................Sesko............................
    .................................................................
    ..........Cunha..................Mbeumo...........
    .................................................................
    Dorgu.............................................Amad
    ..............Casemiro......Bruno...................
    ..................................................................
    ...........Shaw.......de Ligt.....Yoro...............
    ..................................................................
    ...........................Altay...............................

Sunderland are playing above their level so far, but I wouldn't bet on us to beat a Championship side right now.

My only hope is that if we fail to win, the board will recognize that the one and only chance to salvage the season will be to send Amorim packing.

With Amorim still here, I honestly believe that we will draw or lose. New/interim and we will likely win due to the bounce. Important to get three points here before the break and probably losing to Pool just after.

We'll win as we're home against a shit team. Then we'll get battered to Liverpool, and from there I think we spiral. We aren't in spiral territory yet

While Amorim is here, who cares? We might win, but we'll just lose the very next game anyway.
This is the worst thing about Amorim. He inspires apathy. 6 games into a season and I already think what's the point. We've got nothing to play for already. There is zero chance that we go on a winning run and even qualify for conference league.

We’re at home so expect us to fight for every ball for the 1st 15 mins and then concede from a soft set piece. Ruben is under pressure again so we will most likely win

Exactly how I felt today when thinking about this match(and basically any match under Amorim now). What's the point? Who cares? Because this is all leading nowhere with him. No consistency, no proper progression. Just maybe a win or a draw, but most likely a loss, even against Sunderland (who tbf have had a pretty good start for a team that's just been promoted).

Sunderland were very workman like at Forest last night both in attack and defence. Can’t see us overcome this very resolute team, so it’s a loss from me, O-2

We'll start okay, have a couple half chances. Sunderland will score first. We'll score an equaliser midway through the second half, likely a penalty, before Sunderland score a late winner. Amorim will storm down the tunnel and give a weird post match interview. He will be sacked in the following days. Lose in Anfield under a caretaker, then his successor is appointed.

Does it really matter who we put out, no one knows what they’re doing out there. Amorim has no idea how we’ll play or how to get them playing how he wants.

It’s all to predictable and depressing.

I honestly don't care that much. Just score some goals you useless cnuts even if you don't value a clean sheet in the slightest.

I think we'll win this and it gives Amorim breathing room to see out the month of October before he gets sacked on Nov 1.

If we lose then he gets sacked this international break IMO.

Liverpool haven’t battered anyone in months. More likely we lose 3-1 with some embarrassing defensive/keeping moments, hatfuls of sitters, shocking wingback performances and a missed Bruno penalty.
