Going for a draw. There goalkeeper is going to prevent us from scoring.

With the way they have started the season won’t be surprised if we lose at home. Hope that’s the final nail in the coffin for Amorim!

The team I want to see

    ------------------------------------------------------Lammens--------------------------------------------------------
    --------------------------------Yoro-----------------De Ligt------------------Shaw--------------------------------
    Amad----------------------------------Mainoo--------------Ugarte-------------------------------------Dorgu
    -------------------------------------------Mbeumo------------Cunha-----------------------------------------------
    ---------------------------------------------------------Sesko------------------------------------------------------------

    The team we will see

    --------------------------------------------------------Bayindir--------------------------------------------------------
    --------------------------------De Ligt--------------Maguire------------------Shaw-----------------------------
    Dalot----------------------------------Bruno--------------Casemiro------------------------------------Dorgu
    -------------------------------------------Mbeumo------------Mount-----------------------------------------------
    ---------------------------------------------------------Cunha------------------------------------------------------------
If everyone is available, I think we will see your team, except with Bruno instead of Mainoo. I also suspect he will pick Dalot in place of Dorgu, as I think he had become first choice left back before his injury and Amad’s unavailability.

Who thinks he's going to start Lammens?
Not even Lammens think he will start. He will get good PR about being the iron dome or something and how impressed amorim is with him.

You want to sack him even if we beat both Sunderland and Liverpool? So that would 3 wins and 1 loss in the last 4 games, and certainly in the top 4 yet you think they should sack him? You think perhaps you might be a tad over emotional?

No chance we'll get 6pts or even 4 anyway. We'll probably get 6 or 7 from our next 4 at best, which would be alright in the grand scheme of things.

I wasn’t clear, I meant even if we played Liverpool and not Sunderland and won, he should still be sacked.

And I agree with you, I don’t think so either, and things would be alright if we’re able to salvage the season.

The issue is Amorim just continued with the bad form from last season, it seems like it’s the same, regardless of the players (which I think we brought in good players), and not taking into account he had a full preseason too, just to serve these subpar performances, and this is coming from someone who was Amorim in until Grimsby.

Backs to the wall desperate rearguard action, we nick a point. Amorim and we need a point at minimum, but it’s also not only the points but also how we play. If we look good but unlucky that’s one thing.

Playing 5 at the back in this game against a newly promoted team at home should see him sacked before the game.

Honestly I feel so defeated. As always, one step forward, three steps back. Will probably win this, just to save his job for the time being.

    Think we'll see this line-up:

    Lammens
Yoro - De Ligt - Shaw
    Amad - Case - Bruno - Dorgu
    Mbeumo - Sesko - Cunha

    Subs: Dalot, Kobbie, Mount, Megs
It's reached a point where it's not if, but when he's going to get the sack. I hope he tries a 4atb before he leaves, I just want to see if that could make any difference (although I highly doubt it).

Irrespective of the outcome of this Match Amorim should be sacked. We are not going to make progress with him

Sunderland are better than us, I don't see how we can win this game unless they have a player sent off or the manager decides to change the system.

Expecting a flukey 97th minute header by Maguire to keep Amorim in a job...
    For another week.

Sunderland have pulled above their weight this season. I think they gonna stay low and counter. They have grit in their midfield with Xhaka and Sadiki. If they score the first goal it will be like all of our other games. We get nervous, give away a few stupid chances and create close to nothing.

If we score the first goal on the other hand, I do think we will win this game. But only then.

As much as I want Amorim gone, I see the need of three points. It's this United problem, win the game or lose and maybe get closer to a change in management. Been here a lot of times this recent years.

I seriously doubt that after the last 12 months this game is what Amorim's future hangs on personally. The club clearly have no backup plan and intend on sticking with him for at least the majority of the season. I know that them saying they support him is all they can really say, but it's hard to see this being the straw that breaks the camel's back unless they absolutely humiliate us.

I know we've been absolutely awful at times over the last decade or so. Times at least similar to right now, where I feel that this team just isn't going anywhere and needs monumental change (yet again). However, I don't recall a time where I actually felt that a newly promoted team were coming to Old Trafford and I'd probably peg them as favourites to win the match. That's how bad it is.

Newly promoted team at home should be an easy 3 pointer….not so sure that will be the case though

10/10 for the attempt I guess

I agree. I guess they just stick their heads in the sand this time. He will be here this whole season - whether we like it or not. Keep going with his system and we will end up around at tenth place.

Then they could look over things the next summer.

But how on earth could that poor soul invest any amount of positive energy in to our squad. Sitting looking devastated on the bench week in and week out.

Sunderland are a strong and athletic. This is exactly the profile of team that could beat us easily at home, we’ve seen it many times before.

We'll win this then the Amorim Fan Club will be in full force for 2 weeks before we get hammered by Liverpool and Brighton.

i dont know pretty much everyone now just knows this is gonna end soonish, and could easily see this being another loss. Hope they have a caretaker in mind for the pool beatdown then just gotta hope a new manager comes in and rights the ship.

If we win this that'd be 3 wins out of 4 at home and an excellent performance against Arsenal. Strong evidence that this manager is building a solid foundation by making OT a fortress.

The problem is every time we lose there's a PTSD reaction after last season. Other clubs don't have this where as for us it feels like yet another huge setback.

If we beat Sunderland we'll probably be 3 or 4pts off top four. We'd have taken that at the start looking at the fixtures but I can't deny it feels worse game to game.

Sunderland are decent so I'm expecting us to drop points after which he'll be gone. If we can get 4pts from the next two games I'll be back to believing

Ain’t gonna happen, but it would need to be an easy 3-0 win.

Any sort of drama or struggles will just piss everyone off even more.

To those going to the game, do a detour and go to Victoria warehouse instead...likely to see better performances!

Think this game has the potential to put my little nephew off United for life, and it's his first one!

There’s a clear trend developing between home and away performances. We’ve been right on it for practically every home game and the results have nearly reflected that. Unlucky against Arsenal not to get a draw, and the first half vs Burnley was possibly our best under Amorim. But, despite a couple of avoidable setbacks against Burnley, the players carried on fighting and got the goals. If that was away then they’d have capitulated.

Whatever the issue is they need to sort it out.
