    From here to there
after 40 years of being a United fan I have finally reached the shoulder shrugging "who cares" stage. Never thought I'd get to that point, but here we are.

Win, lose, draw - clearly none of it matters to the players. I'm hoping 90% of them are gone in the summer (I realise this is unlikely to happen that fast), but it should be the strategic aim over the next 2-3 years that almost none of the current squad should still be here. Aside from Sancho, I'd not be sad to see any of the others leave.

More chance of Hannibal Lecter biting off Ralfs nose.
Tell me who deserves to be there more, I'm not one for chucking kids in usually but remember Elanga has come in and been a breath of fresh air and our usual Mctom etc just aren't performing...

I don’t disagree with your selection, I wouldn’t be upset by it at all. Just don’t think it will happen. I’m also half expecting Rashford to start ahead of Elanga, after the report about him being uncertain with his future. The board probably shit themselves when they read it, regardless of how true it is.

Sorry I’m just so despondent with regards to everything this club currently stands for.
I can’t bring myself to have a positive thought right now besides the fact there is only a couple of months left until the season ends.

Completely mirror your sentiment but I refuse to let it drag me down, we play for 2 or 4 hours a week out of 168 hours in a week, for the 166 or 164 hours it brings me happiness to be delusionally optimistic

It's Spurs, they're just as awful as us. I think we will bounce back after a disappointing performance last game. Come on lads!

We're going to get turned over here. 3-1 Spurs. We'll play our usual high line and they will pick us apart with the space behind Maguire, which is their absolute strength.

I think watching paint dry will be more appealing than watching this shower of shite.

Has any team turned it around so significantly in the last 10 games, performance wise? I'm trying to find reasons to watch the game this weekend.
We sort of did it in 19/20, after the lockdown.

All we need is a three-months break and a transformative signing like Bruno was back then. I know the transfer window isn't technically open but overcoming obstacles is all about belief.

first thing Ralf needs to sort out is how to tactically set up the team to deal with Spurs and their pace on the counter as spurs aren't really a possession based team in this 343 set up that Conte is running

If Ralf has any fortitude - he drops Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford from the squad.

Debuts/gametime/bench spots to those who are performing well in the u23s.

Show the multimillionaire primadonnas in this group that if you're unwilling to put in the hard yards and complain when it isn't going your way, then perhaps your time is up.

Spurs despite their form pre-Everton will be up for this, and they will win with ease. The first team here has downed tools, again.

Conte has a great record at Spurs when he has time to prepare them for a game.

I think Spurs will win this one tbh. I don't think we can handle Son + Kane the way we let teams come at us.

Think we will win, Spurs don’t cope well with width or midfield runs into the box.

Son will take one look and Maguire (if he plays) and lick his lips. No contest there then. All the omens point to a Spurs win unless this bunch of useless, spineless creeps grow a pair and have a go.

Kane is on top form. They just battered Everton so morale will be high. Conte will gee them up. 1-3 sounds about right. It's come to something where I have no optimism left.

    Great kick off time.

I think the issue here will be that they have a defined style of play and it will hurt us bad.

They smell top 4 whilst we just smell shit. Conte will have them well up for this and AWB and Maguire will be targeted for sure.

Just can’t see us winning, it won’t be 1-6 bad but it will be bad.

We will play into their hands. They’re very good on the break, with players who don’t misplace passes and a striker that only needs a sniff of goal to score 1 or 2.

We’re going to get picked apart.

Probably need to play 3 in the middle so Kane doesn't drop deep freely to hit Son running against our slow CBs.

    Sancho vs Doherty looks promising.

If Son & Kane are on their game we are in big trouble, under Ralf, we are not very good at scoring more than 2 goals in a game.

Come Saturday evening we could be behind Arsenal & Spurs on points with both having games in hand on us as well making a top 4 finish almost impossible thus making any top class signings in the summer very difficult as top class talent will want to sign for clubs in the UCL.

If we lose this and subsequently lose to Liverpool could we use the rest of the season to give some of our younger players game time? Top 4 will surely be gone at that stage so might as well test some of the academy players we'll be relying on as squad players next season. This is actually something I'd like to see and might offer some excitement for the rest of the season since it's already over imo.

The stupid owners & board will still want Europa League football next season as it still brings some money in to the club, so no chance that youth will get a chance despite messing up a UCL spot next season, plus the mathematically option would also be needed to go out of the window before youth players are considered ahead of the regular first team players, so Lingard, Matic, Telles, Mata & others will be playing before the likes of Hannibal, Zidane, Savage & others.

    “Lads, it’s Tottenham”

….But seriously, imagine having a manager so confident with a team so good that that’s your team talk against Tottenham…oh how times have changed.

They’re just as limited as us to be honest, can see it being a shocking game 0-0

Wouldn't surprise me if Conte says, "Lads, it's Man Utd" to them, let's not forget Spurs went to City & won only the other week whilst we get thrashed.

We have the better players (just about). They have the better manager. I see a 0-0.

The problem with us is our inconsistency and our "45 minute performance".
If we can put 2 goals past them in the first half and then park the bus in the 2nd half, this is a winnable game for us.
I notice that Spurs are also inconsistent.

When we played Watford, after being spanked 4-1, I did not expect to beat Watford.
With MCFC, I expected to get spanked.
But Spurs.....I think we can win this.

I think we'll lose to A.Madrid and LFC though - those dark days are yet to come.

Tottenham win a couple of games recently, we lose away at the best team in the league, and suddenly people think we'll easily get smashed?
We really do have some proper moody fans.
