Will it be 1st half Spurs or 2nd half Spurs that we play?

Happy to see Sesko start. Need to look for his runs a bit more, even today he was off n running, on his bike, ready to go in behind, but think Mbeumo didn't look in his direction at all.

We need to still be clinical against them but winnable with their injuries and form

Probably the same team as today, keep Sesko to be an impact sub again. Have to be beating them, gotta show up with the right energy and motivation but we're better than them. Just gotta show it and take our chances.

Depends if dorgu is fit for me. Otherwise no changes.

Spurs have a very athletic side, which I expect we'll struggle with, particularly in midfield and wide defensive areas. They're pretty poor at the back though so we can get at them. I expect a similar game to today, so we'll need to be clinical as they'll have opportunities.

This is a very poor Spurs side, we need to put them away and I think we will.

    Lammens
    Dalot Maguire Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Mainoo
    Amad Bruno Cunha
    Sesko

Rotate Mbeumo who’s put in 3 tiring performances and give Sesko a start after his great goal today.

Biggest concern is still CM and the lack of pace but it’s nice to pick a settled side with just the odd rotation up front.

I know I feel the same too, can he play well off the left? Cuhna on the bench? Or rest Amad….nice to finally have real options.

Keeping these 5 (6 when Mount is fit) all firing consistently will be a good insight into Carricks management skills.

So badly want to beat this lot. Can’t believe the last time we won this fixture was back in Oct 2022. Far too long! Time to put that right and restore the natural order in this fixture.

This is gonna be interesting. We haven’t beaten Spurs since October 2022. They’ve been unbeaten against us in the last EIGHT matches. We should beat them, considering how bad we’ve been, but I’m not confident. Predicting a 1-1 draw.

They have nothing in midfield, I think we will be fine in that area. They lack any progressive passers and it’s all people who can run.

Our struggles with them recently have been VdV and Maddison always showing up for the game of their life. Then we had Onana and Bayindir gifting them goals too.

People who can run is a problem for us though, our hole in midfield is one that can be passed and run through easily.

The first real test is how we bounce back after a draw or loss. So far we’ve been in dreamland. Long may it continue but let’s see if this team is made of sterner stuff

Really looking forward to this one now. Haven't seen them play in a long time but from what I've read/heard seems like they like to sit back, have been playing a 3atb too.

I'd want Sesko and Maz in the line-up for this one. Maz looked good when he came on and his passing was so crisp. I feel he's much better in an attacking sense than Dalot too.

    Lammens
    Maz - Maguire - Licha - Shaw
    Casemiro - Mainoo
    Amad - Bruno - Cunha
    Sesko

West Ham on the Tuesday after so we might even see a bit of rotation here.

We need to win this one. Absolute revenge for the EL disaster last year.

Basically, they are almost as good (as bad) as last yera, and to be honest, we are a bit better than last year.

I would be very careful on their set pieces, as they have tall players and Dragusin, Romero, Solanke are quite effective.

Other than that, if we can use effectively the wings we can hurt them.

I would like a win and shut Franck's mouth.

    REVENGE!!!!

The thing is then, we'll have two tough away game in West Ham and Everton and if we can get the three points it would be massive.

Don't think Carrick will change his team, but I would invert Amad and Mbeumo, only for Amad to secure the left side defensively.

You're missing the famous 3-5 win in 2001 maybe when they went 3 up in forst half and then you scored 5 in the 2nd half. There was a story the nextday in the paper about a Spurs fan who decided to put his families life savings on Spurs to win at half time, he put down 10K and would have won 800 quid, but lost the lot.

Didn't Veron score a couple of the goals?

He only did the home fixtures

Would bring Sesko in for Cunha and go from there.
It’s brilliant we have options! I’m not sure what I’d do. I’m thinking Sesko for Mbeumo. It’d feel wrong to drop Cunha, and I want to keep Amad for his ball carrying etc.

Just feel like Spurs are an athletic side and at times Cunha off the ball work isn’t the best, but I’d be happy with either.

I’m only showing games at OT. But one of my favourite United games that. Goals were Van Nistelrooy, Cole, Blanc, Veron and Beckham.

Sorry I missed it was just home games, I'm not a United fan, but I'll never forget that game!

Same Xi surely - get some continuity, we have good players waiting in the wings if people drop their level.

I'd be stunned if he dropped Cunha, he's playing well and deserves to start. The easiest option is to keep the front 4 from the previous 3 games which means Sesko off the bench, but failing that, i think Amad will drop out if he brings Sesko in.

Selection headaches for the right reasons finally!

My only worry about this one is Thomas Frank who always seems set up his teams well against us from his Brentford days. This will be a tough test and a tight game. 2-1 win, Amad and Bruno to score.

Our recent bogey team. They're so average yet we always struggle against them. Keep Romero in check and we should be fine.
Was a time United use to always beat them, even gave them a 3 goal head start once and still beat them 5-3.

Uniteds record against Spurs under Ruben Amorim was absolutely disgrace.

I think he might go with the same team and then rotate for West Ham.
