I'd be stunned if he dropped Cunha, he's playing well and deserves to start. The easiest option is to keep the front 4 from the previous 3 games which means Sesko off the bench, but failing that, i think Amad will drop out if he brings Sesko in.

Selection headaches for the right reasons finally!

Not saying I want him dropped but he did not play well yesterday for the most part, could hardly control the ball at times. I like him a lot and he's scored two great goals in two games but his general play yesterday was pretty poor i thought.

I said it before, but Cunha really is an enigma. The sloppiest and clumsiest silky player I can think of.

Even earlier if you live in California if I am not mistaken.

The same Spurs that we haven't beaten for over 3 years & unbeaten against us in the last 8 meetings, I think?

Can Carrick make it 4 wins out of 4?
    Yeah. Under two awful managers.

We need to go out with the attitude that we are going to beat them. No offs. No butts. They are awful.

Was a time United use to always beat them, even gave them a 3 goal head start once and still beat them 5-3.

Uniteds record against Spurs under Ruben Amorim was absolutely disgrace.

I think before last season's Europa final Ange said, "lads, it's Amorim"

6:30 am here in Texas...4:30 am in Cali.

We should win. I hope for a professional win to reverse the “It’s Spurs, lads” to the original meaning. Spurs had our number last season.

It’s brilliant we have options! I’m not sure what I’d do. I’m thinking Sesko for Mbeumo. It’d feel wrong to drop Cunha, and I want to keep Amad for his ball carrying etc.

It’s tough because Mbeumo also has two goals in the last three games and his pressing and off the ball work has been huge. Nice to be in a position where we have tough selection headaches and options off the bench.

I don't think there's any reason to rotate whatsoever. Even the players who were at AfCon. If we can win a game early and sub them off, brilliant. If not, we have a two week gap between West Ham and Everton.

Literally no reason to change a winning team when we effectively have a winter break incoming. Sesko, Mount, Mazraoui, Ugarte or whoever else are going to have to do a bit more to get a start if no one is injured.

I know we got the win but there were elements to our play which were really poor against Fulham. We had no focal point at all with Mbeumo drifting wide so much.

I'd start Sesko and rest either Amad or Mbeumo for this one, probably Amad. We know Amad off the bench will terrorise a team.

Keep Amad RW where he's most dangerous. If Sesko starts then it should be Mbuemo who misses out, but I would wait until the West Ham game to do that.

Yeah there’s no way we don’t start with the same line up for this. West Ham might change it up a little

On paper this is a cakewalk. You just know Spurs will get something though. We’ve massively struggled against them over recent years.
We struggled against them last season as we were equally as bad with the ball, but probably worse off the ball. They were also a lot, lot more physical than us - in fact we struggled against any physical sides last season

I think this season even pre-Carrick we can handle physical teams a lot more, and with Carrick we’re infinitely better at defending the box, defending set pieces, working hard off the ball and keeping the ball moving.

I can’t see a way with our current form that we don’t beat them. Biggest worry is the midfield again but we handled Fulham even if they did keep playing it through

It’s a winning team because Sesko scored a winner. I think that would be a simplistic approach.

Feels like an age since we last beat Spurs and weirdly in an era where they haven't been very good either. I'd love for us to give them a proper pasting here.

    October 2022.

    Overdue a win against them.
Most complete performance under ten Hag for me, total control. Of course it was partly due to Conte's negative tactics for sure but still.

We've been bit unlucky vs Spurs in some games since. In next game we bottled 2-0 lead at their place, then lost 2-0 in August 2023 despite being better in first half and denied clear penalty. Then there's Europa final as well... Would be great to beat them but even if do it won't be easy.

Said the same line up before this game and got slated for it. We've got a striker in form, he needs to play.

    Alright lads.

I just want another good performance. We have the players to give them a hard afternoon but it depends which version of us shows up. They’ll come at us anyway so there will be goals. I’m going to say 2-1 to us but getting nervous about us crashing back down to earth. All the signs were there again against Fulham. Sesko has to start. He’s earned it.

I think we’ve turned a corner. On paper with everyone fit and playing to our strengths we are a top 4 team. We should be, we are amongst the highest spending clubs in the world. It’s about time we snapped out of it and played to our billing
    .

With how easily Fulham played through our disjointed press, you can bet Tottenham will be poring over those clips.

A more clinical team would’ve put us to the sword and been out of sight by half time. Not saying we were lucky to win but there were moments where I fully expected Fulham to punish us after evading the press.

That said these guys are due a proper feckening. Let's hope that day is Sunday.

Every opponent is a massive banana peel. There isn't one fixture coming up where anyone can assure us that we'll carve them up and shit them out. We're everyone's cup final because no matter who we're playing on any given matchday we're being watched around the world. And that means for clubs like Spurs this is one of two or three games a year where they will be watched in Southeast Asia, North America, South America, Australia, possibly Africa but I have no idea about that and of course most of Europe. We saw them raise their game in the second half against City and we expect them to be up for their annual stop at Old Trafford before going back to their mediocrity.

Spurs away results in the Premier League this season.

    2-0 win v Man City
    3-0 win v West Ham
    2-2 v Brighton
    2-1 win v Leeds
    3-0 win v Everton
    4-1 defeat v Arsenal
    2-2 v Newcastle
    3-0 defeat v Nottingham Forest
    1-0 win v Crystal Palace
    0-0 v Brentford
    3-2 defeat v Bournemouth
    2-2 v Burnley

They've had our number recently and I don't think they are as bad as widely believed. They do struggle defensively, though, and we are good going forward now. Won't be as clear cut as it seems.

    4:2 United.

    Would anyone take a draw?

No. The difference between three and one is bigger than the difference between one and zero. I’d take our odds of getting three at a risk of not getting any.

They are better away from home so I expect a difficult game.
    I think it'll be a draw, sadly.
