Valencia Club de Fútbol, also known as Valencia CF or Valencia (nicknamed Los Che Els Taronges (The Oranges) and Valencianistes Los Murciélagos (The Bats)) is a Spanish football club based in Valencia. One of the more successful Spanish clubs of all time, Valencia have won six La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey titles, two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups (the predecessor to the UEFA Cup), one UEFA Cup, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and two UEFA Super Cups. They also reached two UEFA Champions League finals in a row, losing to La Liga rivals Real Madrid in 2000 and Bayern Munich on penalties after a 1–1 draw in 2001. Valencia were also members of the G-14 group of leading European football clubs. In total, Valencia have reached seven major European finals, winning four of them.

The club was established on 5 March 1919 and officially approved on 18 March 1919, with Octavio Augusto Milego Díaz as its first president; incidentally, the presidency was decided by a coin toss. The club played its first competitive match away from home on 21 May 1919 against Valencia Gimnástico, losing 1–0. Valencia moved into the Mestalla Stadium in 1923, having played its home matches at the Algirós ground since 7 December 1919. Valencia club enjoyed a period of sustained success towards the turn of the century, particularly in the UEFA Champions League; for the first time in its history, Valencia reached a European Cup final. The notable signings of that summer included Rubén Baraja, Roberto Ayala, Vicente Rodríguez and Pablo Aimar, who would soon become a staple of Valencia's dominance of the early 2000s in La Liga.

Valencia have a fierce rivalry with fellow Valencian club Villarreal, with whom they contest the Derbi de la Comunitat. The rivalry is further fueled by the fact they are the two most successful clubs in the region. Valencia also have a long-standing rivalry with Levante, also located in the city of Valencia, and with two other clubs in the Valencian region, Hércules and Castellón. They play their homes games at Estadio de Mestalla.

Surely we won't lose against this lot? They are even worse than us...

If Mourinho is still here, probably a loss and all but sealing us being eliminated from the CL. Early, but this is a game you can't lose if you want to make it through.
If he gets sacked in the next few days, a bounce back win maybe? Who knows.

Coming up for this game, and expecting it to be a bit less painful being in Europe.

Am expecting the next 2 games to ease the pressure back down again.

I knew we'd loose to West Ham, actually think we'll win this one though. It won't be convincing though obviously

Well one thing that is guaranteed to happen is Valancia outplaying us at our own turf whatever the result.

I don't think we are anywhere close to sacking Jose yet. We'll have to put up with plenty more misery before they swing the axe. I just hope it's not too late.

If you get to the ground early enough you might get a game.

If we play like we did today we will lose, the players looked like they wanted to lose today.

I think the players will turn out slightly more in the CL - I can see them grinding out a win perfectly realistically here.

If we set up the way we did against Sevilla, we will lose, it wont even be a contest. They will outplay and outpass us with ease.

Zero confidence right now. Valencia only need to press high and pass the ball quickly. Any team who does these basics has joy against us.

I'm gonna say it will be a really poor performance but I think we will win 2 1. I have not been watching Valencia but come on we can't lose to these guys surely?

We are useless against teams who know how to keep the ball as our pressing is non existent. Luckily spanish teams seem to lack killer instinct so maybe we could set piece our way to a win

We will win this one, buys Mourinho more time, loses at home to Newcastle, sacked, International break, Zidane announced. We go again.

After the mad selection today, Lingard and Sanchez not even in the squad, I don't know what this loon is gonna do in this game, so below is just a guess based on the fact I expect there to be a few changes.

I've got a ticket to the game but we are playing so so bad atm, I'm half tempted to skip it.

I don't think I can take the trip and overnight stay in Manchester if we're gonna play like we've been playing.

Expecting Woodward at Old Trafford making face expressions like he's worried and knows what's going on then making his most typical decision ever - watching the space even further for another year.

This CL game couldn't have come at a better time for Mourinho because even if he loses this it places no real significance on our ability to get out the group considering we will still have 4 games remaining. However the next 2 after that will be Juve twice. It would however imply that he has no ability to break this horrible run of form but the club will more than likely summarise it as the result not affecting the PL.

Was certain we were losing vs West Ham and positive we're winning this one. 2-1 maybe. Nothing like carnage or anything.

On a good night we might be capable of making things a bit difficult for them and snatch a draw.

Just did a check, only 12th in La Liga, guess they aren't playing all that well themselves either.

Don't play fecking 7 defensive players again please for the love of God.

    De Gea
    Dalot Smalling Bailly Shaw
    Fellaini
    Fred Pogba
    Rashford Sanchez Martial

Lukaku has to be dropped he's been utter shit and I know Sanchez has aswell but Lukakus been worse.

Fellaini in for Matic who looks like he's on his last legs.

Fred because we may aswell start integrating our £50 fuxking million pound signing.

Have no idea who plays next to Smalling but Bailly has the most potential out of any of the other CBs so may aswell get him back.
