What's our record against teams that have drawn or beaten us in the first leg this season ?
For example we drew with stoke and Liverpool both times.
    Stoke 1-1, 1-1
    Liverpool 0-0, 1-1
    West Ham 0-0, 2-0

Not a lot of data there.

I full expect a win in this game. I think we need to keep building momentum to get the top 4 and should be aiming to score at least 3/4 goals in this game to just build on our GD.

However I do worry about the match ups with the smaller teams for some reason they always make life hard for us and have a great performance. Looking forward to this one.

They beat Burnley and a woeful Arsenal in their last two, but before then their form was terrible. Barring a couple of danger men in Deeney and Niang they shouldn't have anything to trouble us. Having actually scored (twice!) in the first half last time I'm hoping we can get on top early in this game too.

Could be another massive weekend for us. Liverpool face spurs so one of those two will drop points and I can even see Arsenal dropping points to Hull who have looked good in recent weeks and Arsenal are beginning their usual collapse.

I hope to see us play the same team as against Leicester other than Martial coming in for Rashford.

Watford are absolutely terrible at keeping a clean sheet. If we don't score in this game i'm giving up watching us play this season (unless we make it to any finals).

We'll face big issues in this game especially because of their formation 3-4-3 (if they use it)

We played our two worst game this season, in a tactical point of view against 3-4-3 so I'll be very aware of how we'll act against this.

We also have to make amend of the first game there when we were horrible, especially Pogba who was destroyed by Capoue.

Big game ahead as we have to confirm our good performance at Leicester.

Best way to beat a 3-4-3 is dominate the ball and keep them pinned back. The fullbacks need to advance regularly and keep their wide men pinned back. Can't see Niang wanting to chase Valencia up and down the wing all day so we should get plenty of space down that side.

The defence should keep sharkface busy, we just need to make sure our midfielders track their 3rd man runs properly.

I still am raged about out 2 big OFF results. That of Watford and Chelsea. We have to trash them, we need to keep winning games and bolster our challenge to the top 4.

I'd keep the same team as Leicester where possible... Maybe shove Shaw at left-back, and Smalling in for the injured Rojo, but yeah, largely keep the winning team out there.

My first trip to OT this season and my son's first ever. We've a pretty good record when yours truly comes along and roars my support* so I'm going with a 3-1 win.

Hope they put on a show for the 2 of you , I bet the young lad is buzzin , this is what it is all about . There is nothing like walking up the steps and seeing the pitch in front of you , magic .
My lads first game was Debrecen in a champions league qualifier 2005 , 3-0 , Rooney , Ruud and Ronaldo . He was made up cos he saw Gary Neville play (his fav player ).
Hope the 2 of you have a great day .

If they actually are playing 3-4-3, then there might be merit in including Carrick and playing 3 in the middle (probably at the expense of Mata or Martial). The space when playing against a 3-4-3 is between their central midfielders and their wingbacks, so we really should be giving Pogba freedom to drive forward and get into those pockets of space. If we do that, he'll drag their midfielders out of position, leaving space in other parts of the pitch. I think Ibra is going to have to drop deep a lot as well, one striker against a back three is a tough brief, even for someone of his calibre, but if he drops deep, he can also take a defender with him and leave space for one of our wingers to get in behind. So in summary, I think this should be our team:
    --------------------------------De Gea--------------------------------
    Valencia--------------Bailly------------Jones--------------------Blind
    --------------------------------Carrick---------------------------------
    -----------------------Herrera---------Pogba--------------------------
    Mkhitaryan------------------------------------------------------Martial
    ------------------------------Ibrahimovic-------------------------------

If they play a 4-3-3 however I'd be happy to go with your formation. So it's a tough call either way.

The team I wish were being relegated because you have to turn the brightness down when they're on. This game is a must not draw. If we don't win I'll be genuinely miffed.

The Chelsea game? We were absolutely battered by a stronger side, it happens. I'm not nearly as annoyed by that one as the Watford result or all those home draws against weaker sides.

Haha, good job and enjoy. Hope your luck continues. We've had the opposite luck when going to OT with my boys, lost both games and zero goals for (actually in the Real Madrid second leg in 2013 they scored an OG). And RvP missed peno right in front of us against WBA. Jinxed.

If they play with a back three, I think we need the pace of Mkhitaryan and Martial on the wings to attack them through the centre like we did against West Ham in the EFL Cup.

Saturday 4pm kick-off is a rare occasion. Watford found form recently but we should beat them although if we don't score 1st half we tend to make it hard for ourselves.
Get an early goal I say.
we are a 3pm kick off?

Was just going to post that we could go 442 here to give their three CB's a bit more to think about. Maybe even as a diamond and Valencia/Shaw providing the width.

I hope Martial starts, even if he is bad I think Rashford is better when he's comes off the bench and can run at tired defenders. Put Carrick back in the holding role and let Pogba attack a bit more.

There's nothing Rashford did lately to earn his spot over Mata...and on the RW as well where he's even less effective. Rest I agree with apart from Jones instead of Smalling if he's fit since Rojo is out from this one.

Play strong team for this one, strong team again on thursday in EL since it's 5 days away. Then we can mix it up and rest some players in the next two games in FA cup and return EL leg (granting we get result in the first leg to allow us to rest players). Then we should be fresh and ready for the start of insane schedule that will follow from the start of March...

Would like to see Mata and Rashford get rests for this game or at the very least Rashford, kid's been poor this season so a little time out of the limelight will do him no harm. Looking to see the same team v Leicester with the exclusion of Rashford.

We need to wreck this mob. Watford ruined my Sunday pub lunch.
Thankfully my steakpie got ate before Martial got fouled otherwise I'd be barred right now.
    Going 3-1 for us.

I like this a lot. Just in terms of the players it puts on the field, it saves us from making that early Carrick substitution like we've done recently. If they go 3-4-3 Mkhi can play a little deeper to help us dominate possession in the middle. If they go 4-3-3 or otherwise, Mkhi can assume the #10 role. Really want to see Rashford play from the right also to give us proper width from that side.

Really hoping we see this now, but I would assume Mata for Rashford and maybe Rashford for Martial, which would be deflating for me.

Hang in there mate, maybe Martial will bag a hat trick!
LOL. When Falcao was here, stinking the place up, many fans used to say the exact same thing.
I am not sure if Martial will even make the starting XI, let alone score a goal. And as for scoring 3 ...

But in all seriousness how did we lose that match?
    What has Jose learnt?
How will he change things this time?
