Watford Football Club (nicknamed The Hornets, The Golden Boys, Yellow Army, and The 'Orns), are a professional football club based in Watford, Hertfordshire. Watford Rovers was formed in 1881 by Henry Groverand, who went on to play for the club as a fullback. Rovers, originally composed entirely of amateur players, held home games at several locations in the town of Watford. The team first competed in the FA Cup in the 1886-87 season, and in 1889 Watford won the County Cup for the first time. Renamed as West Hertfordshire in 1893, Rovers joined the Southern Football League in 1896, and started to pay professional footballers in 1897. West Hertfordshire merged with local rivals Watford St. Mary's in 1898; the merged team was named Watford Football Club.

After spending almost half century in the lower divisions of The Football League, Watford enjoyed its greatest era of success following Graham Taylor's appointment in 1977, rising from the Fourth Division to the First Division. The team also finished second in the First Division in the 1982/83 season, competed in the UEFA Cup in 1983/ 1984, and reached the 1984 FA Cup Final where they faced Howard Kendall's Everton. Watford's most prominent rivalry is with fellow South-Eastern English club Luton Town, and they have been playing their home games at Vicarage Road since 1922.

We might sneak this one 1-0. No-one is capable of scoring right now, so it will have to be an OG.

Let’s not be over confident by starting with 10 players.

Be good to go into the cup final with a win and a few goals, even if the majority don't start against Chelsea. Now that second is assured there is no excuse in not just letting them have fun and going for it on Sunday.

It's a double edged sword. Don't play him and then he's rusty for the finals. Play him and risk an injury. I say to give him 60 minutes under his belt and then take him off regardless of what the score is...
or suspension... could have happened tonight when tempers flared.

Perhaps Chong will have his debut as a sub. If he replaces Carrick, it will be exact the same scene at last season when a Jimmy Murphy award winner comes off the bench for a captain in his last match

He said Carrick would definitely play. I presume he will start.
    Yes he did, forgot that.
So far Carrick, Romero, Martial and Rashford confirmed starters right?

Then i would like to see :
    --------------Romero------------
    Valencia--Bailly---Victor--Shaw
    -------------Carrick-------------
    ----------Herrera--Pogba------
    Chong------Rashford---Martial

    Romero
    Darmian Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    Carrick
    McTominay Fellaini
    Rashford Lukaku Martial

Seems pretty likely if we assume de Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Young, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard and Sanchez are to be rested for the final. Although, if Deeney is playing then Jose may be tempted to just play Smalling anyway.

Hope we win this in an entertaining game to close out the league season. Not finishing above 80 points will just feel wrong.

Hope Angel Gomes gets longer than usual when he makes these cameos in the first-team. Replace Lukaku after 60 minutes.

Hope some of the kids will get a chance. I would love it if Chong, Gomes, Gribbin and O’Connor was involved.
Never a better chance to play them; second secured, players to be rested for the FA Cup final.
