Watford Football Club nicknamed The Hornets, The Golden Boys, Yellow Army, and The 'Orns; are a professional football club based in Watford, Hertfordshire; and were founded in 1881 by eventual player Henry Groverand as Watford Hornets, originally an amateur team that turned fully professional in 1897. After spending almost half century in the lower divisions of The Football League, Watford enjoyed its greatest era of success following Graham Taylor's appointment in 1977, rising from the Fourth Division to the First Division. The team also finished second in the First Division in the 1982/83 season, competed in the UEFA Cup in 1983/ 1984, and reached the 1984 FA Cup Final where they faced Howard Kendall's Everton. Watford's most prominent rivalry is with fellow South-Eastern English club Luton Town; and they have been playing their home games at Vicarage Road since 1922.

Would be just like us to balls this game up, hopefully the kids won't get bogged down with the United mentality and just go out and enjoy themselves again

A win a we could be level with City

Hopefully have Smalling and Martial back for this. LVG said in his programme notes today that Valencia and Januzaj were close and the latter was on the bench today... just a sign that things might be easing slightly. That said, Rashford needs to play as long as he's fit.

Play the same team but with Smalling and Martial back. I'm loving our gunslinging football lately with the kids.

Hopefully we won't have to stick Carrick at CB any more. Did Rojo get injured? We'll have Riley back at LB then.

Play with the same intensity we've had in the last few games and this should be fine.

Martial would be one of the last players I'd bring back in, play him over Rashford or Memphis in current form? No way

Hope Smalling is back for Carrick though

No, you'd play him ahead of Lingard

Odds are we'd go and not win this game now... But everyone needs to stay positive and confident. Definitely need to start Varela and Rashford. Could see Smalling, Borthwick-Jackson, and Martial return to the squad.

    de Gea
    Varela Smalling Blind Borthwick-Jackson
    Carrick Herrera
    Lingard Mata Memphis
    Rashford
    ---
Romero; McNair, Riley; Schneiderlin, Pereira; Januzaj, Martial

Assuming Rojo's knock is a bit much to come back in three days, if not then he'd probably replace Riley on the bench. Hopefully all goes well and Januzaj, Martial etc can get some minutes at the end.

It's odd to feel confident that we can score goals now, so I think Watford will have to get two themselves to get a result here.

I'd love a return to 442 with Martial and Rashford up top, but it'd be hard to put mata back out on the right given his best games have come from 10 this season. Not to mention Lingard has been solid and defensively great.

It's really a great dilemma to have is it not?

I'd play the same team. I'd hate to rush Martial back and risk injuring him, and besides, with Rashford and Depay playing as well as they are, we should be keep them in the team for now.

Any chance smalling is back for this? Hopefully nobody picked up any injuries today though. Last thing we need. Will be a tough game again but high on confidence, we should win. Rashford hat trick :)

Rojo came off injured so I would be surprised if he starts. I can see Mensah coming in either at LB or at CB as 4 games in 10 days is a lot for Carrick.

Don't rock the boat. Bring Smalling in if fit but id start Martial on the bench if fit and bring him on if we need a goal. Also Borthwick-Jackson to start but give Fosu-Mensah some game time if he's not fit.

As fun as today was, if Smalling and Martial are fit, they walk straight back in.

Lingard looks knackered. Could rest him for this home game. I would start with Rashford up top with either Depay or Martial on the right. Or start a couple more young players since its at home and play a full strength side away to West Brom.

This game will be telling in my opinion

This is the sort of game we have been losing, so if we win this then maybe we will have confidence going into the last quarter of the season

Rashford should start. Although I can see him struggling a bit more in this one

    1-0 to United

Don't fix what's not broken. Same again. Get a fast start and hopefully a goal or two up and then sit back and watch the 'class of '16' flourish !

Hopefully Smalling is fit for this one and I wouldn't change the midfield pairing, I think Herrera and Schneiderlin both benefit from not having to do their partners running. I agree that Lingard looks knackered as well, maybe rest him and give Januzaj a start.

No idea who will be back but if Martial is fully fit then he has to start. If we have any concerns about his hamstring then leave him on the bench.

Our players must be feeling fatigued now though. So many games in a short space of time. If Smalling is back bring him straight in for Carrick.

I will wait to hear what LVG says on the player's fitness before I post my team.

Watford are not a top team. I am expecting lot of struggle with this one. But eventually if the players are all horny, it should be a win.

I'm sure we'll win by a goal or two. As long as we keep the energy up, we'll play good football. I'd like us to get some early goals to give some more chances. Riley could do a job and don't forget that he was a winger before being moved back to full back. I think he was unlucky to lose his place but hopefully smalling is back so we are tighter at the back
