Think i'd like to see a 4-3-3 with DVB and Fernandes ahead of Fred on this one.

We need to be on the front foot, WBA are awful.
Not sure we even need Fred to be honest.

Will he be coming back from Brazil? If so, rest him.

But West Brom are really shit.

If we can't beat West Brom without Fred we have major issues.
Can you hand on heart say we will win easily? this is a trademark match we would usually slip up in recently.

I can see them parking the bus and doing us on the counter as per usual. Hope Matic is nowhere near it.

A must win. We need to correct our home form, and soon! Greenwood probably won't feature if today's reports are true. Hopefully he can come back firing. Telles could start if Shaw is a doubt. 3-1 win, I reckon. Tough games coming up after this one.

Watched a bit of their game vs Fulham and they were absolutely awful. Having said that, they will drop deep and defend in numbers....it’s exactly this type of game we’ve struggled in

Boring international break before this one. Hopefully all those injuries which Ole mentioned means that some of our players get some rest.
Given the tough schedule and the rising covid cases, I would prefer players not to travel much

This will be a good indicator. At home, against a team that will likely look to get a tie by sitting deep. Are we going to be shit as we've often been or have we going to step up?

Perfect game to introduce telles to English football. Wel need him in games like this. If shaw wasn’t injured telles should be playing in this anyway.

People who think we are dropping points to Albion don’t realise quite how bad they are. We will win this comfortably and it will be great as we seek to create momentum. I think we will be feeling very positive after our next three games.

Hope Ole will try VdB to emulate Mata but with better defending and pressing. We are shit when Bruno is marked. Mata movement and passing open space for Bruno. VdB should be able to play a Mata role. Martial plays a Firmino role in our set up but Firmino has around him Mane, Salah or Sterling who can both score and create. Since Rashford is struggling to score a clear chance we should use Cavani to convert chances. Martial for Rashford on the left also is an option. Rashford might be burned out and needs rest.

In the terms of Uniteds home form and West Broms away form it's fairly even this season.

    United P4 D1 L3 F2 A10 points 1

    West Brom P4 D1 L3 F3 A10 points 1

If not already pointed out West Broms last 5 games in Old Trafford they won 3 and drew 1 so a comfortable win would be a very welcome change for this fixture.

West Brom is terrible at defending the wide area, they had concede 17 goals (the worst in premiere league). We just need Telles hoops the ball to Cavani's head, then we will control the game.

Our home record this season is worse than the worst team in the league’s away record, where they are meant to be at their weakest. That is genuinely embarassing, and after 4 games. Honestly, we cannot lose even one more game at OT this season. Heck, we should win all bar Liverpool. Must win game against WBA.

Thats pretty much our best team in my opinion and I want us to get our primary front three all on the pitch together. Looks pretty potent!

Away from home I’d say easy 1-4 win. But given it’s at OT and they will be the definition of a low block, a horrible, niggly 2-1 win with a piece of Individual brilliance probably from Bruno to win it.

I know and when Ole said we miss the crowd and that would make the difference its just bollocks. Home and away is all the same to everyone nowadays. As for why we cant do it at home, but can away is a mystery.

Mata is a complete waste of space. way too slow and lightweight. He doesnt hold the RW either putting more pressure on AWB to cover the lot. Play Greenwood or Martial there.

You seriously expect this very inconsistent group of players not to lose another game in OT this season?

    That I do.

    1) We have to or we won’t have a successful season as this away record will be incredibly difficult to keep up, and good home form is the foundation for any team’s success.

    2) These players can be pretty poor sometimes, but we only lost two home league games last season. We’ve already exceeded that. It cannot happen again, in any competition actually.

    3) We’ve already played 3 of the top sides at home. This is a weak point though as there is no excuse for Man United to lose at home.

    4) Our next two at OT are WBA and Basaksehir in the CL. Surely we will win both? I know we already beat Leipzig but these two could provide a good springboard for good home form for the rest of the season.

    Very ignorant to presume this.

West Brom at home is the ideal game for a 0-1, both WBA and Basaksehir will play with the same gameplan that we seem to be allergic to.

They're just as bad as they were when they beat us 0-1 at Old Trafford 2 years ago. They were bottom and got relegated. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43686476

This United team can beat anybody and equally drop points against anybody.

    Teams we've played at home:

    Palace
    Tottenham
    Chelsea
    Arsenal

Teams we've played away from home:

    Brighton
    Newcastle
    Everton

    No surprises there I'd say.

Don't think so. These two teams are shite. WBA have zero quality upfront bar Pereira who presumably will be out with Covid, while I've watched Basaksehir, and they are awful. Check out their games against Galatasaray, PSG and Leipzig. They were shocking. And yes I'm aware that they beat us pretty comfortably, but that was because we were truly awful.

Seriously, show some balls and we will win. We don't even need loads of quality as ours is far in excess of these two. Bang the door down and get the first goal. Put some effort in and these will be easy games.

West Brom are going to put numbers behind the ball. This is exactly the type of game where we need Mata and VDB to unlock the defense with intricate creative passing. I don't think we need two holding mids but then i'm not sure I trust our other formations/tactics. I'd like to see something like.
    -------------- De Gea --------------
    AWB - Lind - Mag - Telles
    -------------- Fred ---------------
    ----- VDB ------- Bruno ---
    Mata ---- Martial ----- Rashford

Mata will naturally drift in to the centre allowing VDB space down the right to move into and link up in and around the box. The other option is to replace Mata with someone who'll hold the right side for width, such as cavani and allow VDB link up in positions that a number 10 would take up alongside bruno.

Pogba ??? Why? He's not a winger and he's not playing well. He should be nowhere near the first team right now.
