By that you mean 4 weeks, that includes 6 pre season matches and 2 league games. Not enought time to know the players strenghts and weaknesses.
Everyone knew which players weren't upto it, van gaal is a smart man I'm sure he knew the average players and usual suspects we have all known for years

Good news that we're unlikely to see Cleverley and Fletcher in this match.

    Amos
    Keane - Thorpe - Blackett
    Vermijl - Pearson - Powell - James
    Januzaj
    Wilson - Welbeck

    Subs: J.Pereira,Lawrence,Rothwell,Zaha,Chicharito,Rojo,Janko
Has van Gaal said that Clevs and Fletch are unlikely to play? I'd love to see a line-up like that but Lawrence in the starting XI somewhere. Not sure where but get him in there.

Probably they didn't realise MK Dons is playing in the same league with Barnsley who our U21s beat 2-1 in pre-season.
We beat Real Madrid and Liverpool in pre-season friendlies though.

No but he said we will play a different team than vs. Sunderland and after that match it's not difficult to guess who will be axed.

Lawrence might start in Welbeck's place but I think LVG will put a senior striker there to guarantee the win.

    -------------Kagawa

    ---------Januzaj Wilson

Bring on Pereira, Lawrence and perhaps a bit of expierience later on.

Well then why hasn't he shown the door to those suspected of mediocrity. Maybe he can't afford to make those decisions, because of all the injured/sidelined players that United have right now. The pre season USA tour took it's toll I suppose.

This sort of game would be ideal for Keane and Blackett, but with Evans out, it being unclear how long Rojo's sign off will take, and Smalling surely facing a spell out, can we even risk them, as we need them next Saturday!!

I learned today that we're on par with a lot of teams in the bottom half of the PL table, we'll need to wait and see if the likes of these can give us a game too. Voted 1-0 to us though.

If that's the case then switching to back four and play Thorpe-McNair or Thorpe-Vermijl there would be enough IMO.

Hopefully Rojo will be registered on time.

Alright nice, good to hear. Yeah I think you are right with the senior striker as well we'll probably see Kagawa get in as he hasn't played yet and maybe Evans and Rafael as I believe they are back in training. Hope to see a good number of the young lads in there anyway.

I hope that youngsters will show their best to take their places in first team from the hands of fletcherley. If we don't pass it is only their loss. LVG has balls but it should be very difficult for him to drop half of the team. Pereira/Rothwell/Pearson/Harrop must have a blinder + Varela

    Early predicted lineup:

    ____________________________________________________________

    1. De Gea

    38. Keane 6. Evans 42. Blackett

    2. Rafael 24. Fletcher 28. Anderson 41. James
    26. Kagawa

    19. Welbeck 11. Januzaj

    _______________________________________________________________

    Bench:
    40. Amos, 4. Jones, 25. Valencia, 18. Young, 22. Powell, 10. Rooney, 49. Wilson
If Rojo's permit is done, he takes Valencia's spot on the bench.

EDIT: Wouldn't be surprised to see Zaha involved.

Thankful for this game coming soon or moaning would have been unbearable. (We are signing Di Maria as well, that helps.)

@Niall @Damien need to add a few players in the lineup prediction thing for this, i imagine as it will involve some of the younger players hopefully.

Hope there will be no Rooney in this game to slow all our attacking game. If he won't we will probably play well and score 3-4 goals..

Yep Powell and Lawrence need to be added. Who else? (I'm being lazy asking that!)

Thorpe would be a good shout given defensive injuries and Rojo not being available.

Pearson, Rothwell given the situation in midfield as well and Vermijl/Varela at wingback i guess.

I would think LVG will play close to our strongest (fit) side.

It's not like we're overloaded with fixtures in the coming weeks so the more minutes these guys get together with the new system the better.

I remember him saying we're playing "a different team". I may be wrong. :)

I think this would suit us best.

    ---------- Big Dave -----------
    Rafael - Jones - Smalling - James
    Anderson - Fletcher - Cleverley
    ---------- Nick Powell ---------
    - James Wilson - Tom Lawrence -

    4-3-1-2.

    What i wanna see -

    ------Keane - Thorpe - Blackett/Rojo------

    Varela/Vermijl------Pearson-----Powell-----James

    -------------------Januzaj--------------------

    -----------Welbeck----------Wilson-----------

Should have more than enough for a league 1 side. Or we can go 4-3-3 for this and play something like -

Probably see a couple more senior players starting though.

Nah I would change it. We can't afford more injuries. Plus our players will still be tired from the weekend with only one day to rest.
