Please for the love of god drop Wan Bissaka, Shaw and Pogba. Assuming Smalling isn't sold.. if he is, then start Tuanzebe? Mengi? Mess whoever.
    Smalling is gone tomorrow mate.

Excellent! An international break to fester over that incredible performance against Spurs.

No Sancho in any lineup so far is incredibly upsetting. Where is the muppetry?

We need to find that balance and quick!

    What I'd like to see:

    Cavani
    Rashford Fernandes Mata
    Fred McTominay
    Shaw Maguire Lindelof Wan-Bissaka
    De Gea

Henderson Bailly Telles Pogba Van De Beek Lingard Ighalo

Ole plays Bruno far away the middle, I am not sure it was where he played at Sporting. We need legs in the middle to keep the team balanced as Matic and Pogba not providing it.

That's why Fred and Tommy with a second striker Bruno worked well and the team was solid back then.

feck starting Shaw even if Telles ends up failing his medical. I’d rather see Curly from Coronation Street at left back after today.

    Under a tree.
    Greenwood
    Pogba Bruno Rashford
    Fred VDB
    Telles Shaw Maguire Williams
    De Gea
This is my preferred team, but with Martial in for Pogba, but would like to see Pogba in a advanced left sided attacking position, given that Martial will be suspended...
And if we don't sign a right winger, think we should be using Rashford there instead, he's probably the best crosser we have upfront, plus Martial is better than Rashford in cutting in from the left, imo, and Greenwood has the best instincts in the box.

As for the back, well, its a shambles but would play Maguire in as a RCB and Shaw LCB, to give balance to what is looking a completely disjointed defence, plus its no worst than playing Bailly and Lindelof there.
Telles and Williams will give natural width and support to the attack.
AWB, needs to be pulled out of the team for the moment, he offers nothing going forward and is now looking terrible in defence.

I'd like him to be bold now and play

    Henderson
    Laird Mengi Smalling Telles
    VDB Fred McT
    Bruno
    Greenwood & Rashford

That might give a few players some hunger.

I believe a Bielsa or Nagelsman could have that team playing incredible stuff.

We have no hope as relegation beckons and top 4 is knocking on the door for the Toon.

I think Ole will feck em up properly after tonight.

    Henderson
    Laird Mengi Smalling Telles
    VDB Fred McT
    Bruno
    Greenwood & Rashford

I would like him to be bold and play a completely different 11.

Everyone who started against Spurs should be assigned as ball boys. Or better, make them warm up from minute one to minute 90.

Bla, bla.... tHIs iS noWhErE nEaR gOoD.. bla, bla... feck off losers. It's always the same story.

We folded like a bunch of spineless cowards.
I would make them piss blood in training sessions. Embarrassing, cowardly, gutless.

Agree it's time to test the diamond as it's pretty much forced at this point unless Ole opts to go with Ighalo/Mata instead of Donny.

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Matic
    van de Beek Pogba
    Fernandes
    Greenwood Rashford

This is what I expect, but I'd hope Telles or Williams play in this formation.

I'll take 3 points here regardless of how it comes, 100th minute own goal after another dross performance will do as long as the players gain fitness more. I don't fancy us in most of our other fixtures coming up so 3 points here is pivotal just to stay out of the bottom three I bet

I am not sure how maguire gets into a lot of the teams here. I think big changes need to happen in this squad for the next game.

    Henderson
    Williams Smalling Bailey Telles
    Fred DVB
    Bruno
    Lingard Greenwood Rashford

    Subs:
De Gea, Shaw, TFM, Cavani, Pogba, Matic, James

I do not want to see Maguire in this team at all. He needs headspace to sort himself out, he has been awful. Williams at right back, his natural position, shows more drive than most our players. Keep Smalling, literally beg him to stay. He is easily our best centre back. Shaw needs to be dropped after that game, throw Telles in. Ole needs to have the ball to drop Pogba who has been awful. At fault for 2 goals against spurs and 3 against brighton. Pogba is full of shiye, wants to play but is lazy. I'd put lingard on the right as im not convinced we will sign anyone there and he is ahead of james and ighalo in that team, cavani has not played since March.

Big changes are needed, a total refresh. What we are doing right now, is not working.

DDG, AWB, Bailly, Lindelof, Telles, Fred, VDB, Bruno, Mata, Rashford, Greenwood

Subs- Henderson, Shaw, Maguire, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Cavani

Although I can’t see ole leaving Maguire out the 11 or Mctominay out the squad.

Not sure about throwing Laird and Mengi in together, but I like the formation and exclusion of pogba maguire and shaw.

I think the diamond is the best way to get the most out of our players to be fair, we are stocked in CM and now we have a left back who can cross (maybe drop AWB).

Matic at the base as he’s the best with the ball in that position, Fred on the left of it, VDB on the right, Bruno at 10 (or the other way around), and 2 of martial rashford cavani and Greenwood.

It actually plays to our strengths really wel and will probably be more defensively secure.

Quite amazed that people still want Pogba to start this game....

(unless these line-ups are what you think Ole will do, in which case, my bad)

I love, in theory, the idea of he and Fernandes pulling the strings, spraying passes to the forwards, and so on. It's a shame we saw that what, two or three times after lockdown?

We can try Matic, van de Beek, Fernandes... but honestly I suspect it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Slight tweaks or a couple of changes in personnel won't fix this malaise.

    * If he has pulled his slabhead out of his arse by then.

Think October is going to be a critical month for Ole. If we keep being as shite as we have so far this season, he wont last until Christmas

We'll play Saturday against Newcastle and then Tuesday against Paris, so probably we will field two different teams.

Eventually we will loose a little 4-1

    My guess for Newcastle

    Henderson

    Wan Bissaka
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Telles

    Mc Tominay
    Fred

    Greenwood
    Van de Beek
    Rashford

    Cavani

What's up with Tuanzebe? Smalling and Tuanzebe should get a chance together in the next game. I'll bet anyone if Smalling should play for us again he'll have a good performance, as long as he doesn't have to play next to Jones or Lindelof.

I mean if you went to Fred and McT at least that would give you a solid - if uninspiring - base to start from. Suspect it's time to see what DvB can do too, but we've only really seen him in the Bruno role so far.

Shame we have no other centre backs who are good enough to play in Maguire's position.
