Lewis Miley is fecking gigantic
Mainly because they've been drilled as a strong collective for a few season now (yeah they've got some top quality in midfield with Tonali and Guimaraes, and they have Isak, but apart from that their team shouts mediocrity).Every single one of our players is worse than theirs. I’m not blaming Amorim for that
He's scored 6 goals this season, 2 in Europa league. Hojlund has scored 8, 5 in europa league.Yes I did. He has scored in Europe last couple of games hasnt he? And Europe is our most important avenue of making something out of this season. The young lad from the under 18s cant play in Europe too.
He’s not registeredDoesn’t seem like it matters, does it. But all things considered maybe Obi should start.
Heaven is sat on the bench and cant get on the pitch while Lindelof is having a stinker
We really have few viable alternatives to the starting players. Could have used some more youth, but Amass getting a start is about as far as we could risk. Maybe Chido up top instead of Zirkzee. I don't actually care about this mauling because this wasn't our first team, and I think that's how everyone should be viewing this match. Possibly should have thrown as many kids in as possible, since we weren't winning this one anyway.I wasn’t expecting us to win, I get that. Still think there’s space between a loss and a mauling (result wide), but alas. I hear you
That's like saying dog shit smells better than cat shitZirkzee was our best player today
He's just back from injury. Play lindelof in meaningless games and keep Heaven for Thursday.Heaven is sat on the bench and cant get on the pitch while Lindelof is having a stinker
It shouldn't be a choice.
Well said. Very clever .Because he's a big fish in a puddle with zero scrutiny beyond staying in the division.
It's like Real Madrid appointing David Moyes because he did a better job at Everton than Ancelotti did.
Jeez.., I’d happily forgotten about him. I’ve been missing Cavani thoughNah Alexis still remains the worst
He can't do it against almost any team in the PL.I like Eriksen but my word he just can’t do it vs top teams. He’s barely touched the ball.
What does that even mean?A Newcastle mate of mine text me to say Amorim is our Benitez. Hard to disagree, only our club will persist with him longer and drag us deeper in the shit.
He’s not registered
Man United had more possession 1st half and fully deserved to be level at the break. Of course undone right at the start of the 2nd half and then two gifts of goals to put gloss on the scoreline for Newcastle.Strongly disagree. We've played the majority of the game in our own half. Newcastle were all over us at 1-0 until our goal, and we simply haven't turned up in the second half. Their intensity has been much better than ours. From what you are saying, it looks like they were more clinical, too. We're too easy to play against.
Remember him being Bruce’s Brazilian flop who couldn’t score? It’s crazy how he was transformed.Bruno and Tonali are amazing. Joelinton is hardly a footballer but very physical which nobody in our squad is
I agree. But he's not eligible for EL sadly.Doesn’t seem like it matters, does it. But all things considered maybe Obi should start.
You can delete the name and insert about 22 others and it would be true to be fair.Dorgu's absolute shite, offers nothing
Singing Amorim who has recorded just 6 PL wins in 21 vs the bottom 3, Dyche’s Everton, Fulham and City during their implosion. Our away fans are still singing after a 4-1 away defeat and a shite season. The club doesn't deserve them.
There's some truth in this.I'm really not that concerned with this match. Get De Ligt (or even Maguire) on for Lindelof, and that would make a big difference right there. As long as we turn up on Thursday (no guarantee admittedly), then I'm not too fussed about league matches.
Depay scored some goals and had some good games. I can't remember a game when Mount did something. Anything...
Frank, Klopp, Ancelotti, there isn't a manager out there that can take this unathletic and technically deficient squad and do much with them.
I'm not saying Amorim is definitely the right manager, but the situation is the same as under Ten Hag - just changing the manager isn't enough, we've got years of short sighted (or in some cases just blind) recruitment to work through.
If Shaw is fit he needs to play against Lyon, he is alongside Bruno our best player.
I’ll accept Onana if there’s no Eriksen, Lindelof and Hojlund.
