Elanga is a quite limited footballer himself. Playing to his strengths in this Forest setup.
Because our shooting is terrible, Garnacho is braindead and our strikers are non existent. Has nothing to do with the system. And I’m not a die-hard believer in any system at all. Irony is we didn’t even play that bad today, better than a lot of wins with EtH.
True but garnacho wasn't much use either. Really wouldn't be that bothered if we sold him for a good fee but still don't have much faith in our ability to sign a quality replacementWe should play Maguire centre forward
Was a typical Forest performance. They have no interest in playing football but just want to kill you on the counter, so they did what they have been successful with. They defended well too.
They’re not a footballing side at all though and they don’t pretend to be. They’re basically a poor man’s version of the Leicester team that won the PL.We’ve got better but we’re still shite, abstract passing patterns, very little penetration our attacking players just continue to make poor decisions however full respect to Forrest, they know what they are and stick to their plan.
We really need a huge overhaul in our attacking positions because when you score 37 goals in 30 PL games at an average of 1.23 goals per game then you can forget improving. Ruben had more players back and far more time than Forrest did in terms of rest, it’s clearly not his fault, he’s working with absolute dross in the attacking positions!
The only real positive was Mount looked sharp but genuinely we might need to replace Sancho, Antony, Rashford, Garnaucho and Hojlund or Zirkzee with 4/5 attacking players this summer and hope we see a huge improvement.
General play ok, attacking play average but Forrest have been difficult for any team at their place season.Fair play Forrest. They hung in there and rode their luck at times but played as a team.
We were unlucky tonight. We weren’t great but we had enough good chances that we should have taken one.
We looms less and less clueless about the formation and tactics though.The game was easily winnable with better final third execution. The team clearly understand the game plan much better.- Status
