Tough first half, new manager bounce on show and they have the confidence of beating us the last few games.

De Ligt has been excellent and so has Shaw. Dalot very poor and getting found out in the gap behind him constantly. Needs to tuck in, going into attack mode too early.

Goal was good and calms the nerves. Hopefully we have a better second half!

We've been poor and it feels like Forest are cutting through us way too easily, but we're winning.

    Hopefully we can hold on.

Amad, Sesko and Cunha needs to step up their game in the second half, all three of them are capable of much better than this.

It looked as though the ball was completely out, if it want then it would literally be a mm that wasn’t out. Either way it would have made any difference.

Good first half. They’ve come at us with new manager bounce and all but we’ve largely contained them. We need more control in midfield but have looked dangerous on the break.

Anderson should be our no.1 target in the summer. Hell, I’d test their resolve in January!

Decent away performance so far. Forest are playing better than they have all season annoyingly.

Feel like we probably need to go up a gear in the second half but it’s good to see us turning up for games again.
Was always going to happen after they replaced Ange. They're a good team, but he was an awful fit after Nuno

I want to see a gritty 1-0 win. That will do this defense a whole new world of confidence.

Elliot Anderson did rather well in my opinion. He is able to impose himself physically, looks quite resistant to pressing while being the source of a lot of transitions from Forest's half.

I don't get Bruno's forced vertical forward passes from our third to the middle third. it is just an invitation for loss of possession.

Good half, would be nice to get another early on in the second half to give us a bit of breathing space. Some good moments though, need to be a bit more clinical when we do create chances.

71% pass completion rate that half, no tackles, no key passes.

He would be getting shit for that passing rate at Utd, not as if he is a Bruno style risky passer either.
He broke up a number of our attack.

Need to score a couple more goals. The officials will be looking to make up for the error.

Yeah I'll take that. Doing pretty well for an away game. Forest more suited to Dyche too so a more difficult game than the league would suggest.

Some half chances for Sesko and Amad. Forest have had a few chances but we've been pretty comfortable defensively. Played them offside well a couple of times. I've been impressed with De Ligt and Shaw. Cunha, Amad and Sesko have like lively too.

How many times have we seen that goal by Casemiro? Some man. Terrible defending by them and obviously you have to acknowledge it looks like a gift of a corner too because from the angles I've seen, it wasn't out. Very lucky to get that it seems.

Good half. We’ve been opened up a bit too much for my liking but the CBs have recovered well to close the space.

In attack we’re just messing up the final moment but the approach play has been good. We’d be a lot better team if Dalot stopped trying to be Yannick-Carrasco.

Shaw and de Ligt playing well at the back and giving us a chance.

Anderson looks pretty slow but his positional play and reading of the game are top notch.

We're looking by far the better side today, there are surely more goals to come for us. I can see us conceding one but scoring more as well. I'd love to see Sesko smashing in a thunderstrike.

It looked as though the ball was completely out, if it want then it would literally be a mm that wasn’t out. Either way it would have made any difference.
The entire circumference of the ball has to be out of play, it never is on any of replays. The argument that those mms don’t influence anything are poor arguments in binary situations like corners or offsides. It’s either in or out.

He broke up a number of our attack.

Yes, a couple of good interceptions and he gets about. Not convinced yet is all I am saying.

That is with the understanding that if we go for him we are probably looking what £70-90 million with todays prices and Utd tax.

I did not know this was Dyche's first home game. Makes sense with the amount of effort Forest are putting up. I think we've done well. With our midfield and pressing we'll always leave gaps for Forest to run through, but we've dealt with them when the need arose. Shaw and De Ligt in particular have been excellent.

Bruno and Casemiro have done well too. Their physical weaknesses remain, but on the ball they've done some good work. Mbeumo and Amad have again looked dangerous. Cunha and Dalot just don't have the understanding. To be fair to Cunha, it seems Yates' only job is to block him. How he didn't get booked for the second one on Cunha I'll never know.

It'll be a hard second half, lots of running will be needed because Forest will be desperate. I worry about when Casemiro has to come off. Hopefully we get an early goal and silence the stadium and cruise through.

I think the ball was just out of play for a milisecond. The top of the ball may not have been but is that in the rules?

Yes, it is. It's law 9 of the laws of the game.

From those who aren't watching the game probably

Happy with the goal, but feels we are stuck in 3rd gear and have a lot more to give. Need that right hand side to click in the 2nd half.

De Ligt and Shaw were immense this half. Dealt with everything that came their way. Dalot needs to wake up and Sesko along with Amad need to do better.
