    Even Amorim spoke against it in one of his 10 interviews this week, it really doesnt have any mathematical or evidential backing I think.

    Especially how often football games are decided on details. It works when playing against the most dominant of the most dominant, you are very likely to lose over and over again.

    It’s negativity laced with ‘oh please God don’t let this be another false dawn’ nerves. Hard habit to break, but an easy 3-0 win will certainly help.

    That is how it has been before, except we had three wins in a row. There‘s confidence.

    We have to fight for every ball, as long as we aren‘t complacent, we should be fine.

    Years of trauma has understandbly made it suspicious of hope. We heal one game at a time.. hope we capitalise while we are on top for the first 70 mins while Casemiro is on, and let the momentum carry us through rest of season..
     
    Huge game this. Away from home, need to set down a marker and keep the momentum going.

    Will be a deep block by them, sitting deep, trying to get us on the counter.

    Not similar to anything we have faced in the last 3 victories so will be a different challenge.
     
    Need to win this one to almost confirm the form. Don't think we beat Spurs next week, we won't just start winning every game, but this one remains a must win

    That’s the trouble with momentum and excitement, they build quickly.

    It’s been a rough decade in the Caf, but just imagine what it’ll be like if we win this one, and the next one, plus the one after that.
     
    I’d take a draw today. Dyche will ultimately do a good job with this team, they’ll be a threat and sit deep looking to spring a surprise.

    1-1 or similar I’d be happy enough with - especially if we look comfortable in the transitions.
     
    I've felt positive quite a few times over the years that we have turned a corner only for my dreams to be crushed over and over and over again, but this time it feels different also with it coinciding with Liverpool's freefall it sort of feels like the universe has corrected itself.

    I'm ashamed to say I was Ruben out a month or so ago but now I'm starting to believe he's the man to bring us back to the top.

    Our run carries on today, easy.
     
    Last three Premier league meetings was all defeats

    April 2025. Nottingham Forest 1 Man United 0 ( 18 shots to 9 in favour of United, both had 4 shots on target. 68% possession for United)

    December 2024. Man United 2 Nottingham Forest 3 (15 shots to 11 in favour of United. 5-3 shots on target and United had 66% possession)

    December 2023. Nottingham Forest 2 Man United 1. ( 9 shots to 6 in favour of United. 5-2 shots on target and United had 54% possession)

    Hopefully that poor run ends with a United win this afternoon.

    Why is it that I think the Spurs one is also a doom/gloom game? They're fecking shit but I think they have our number.

    Anyway, agreed, need to win today. Confirm the form. We have second best home form in the league iirc (after Arsenal) with an average (mid-table) away form.
     
    We’ve had some good performances and picked up 3 valuable wins that rightly buys Amorim some slack but I’d like to see more defensive solidity, I still think we give up too many easy chances by having big gaps between the 3 CBs and 2 CMs. It’s not like we’re fully controlling games all of a sudden.

    Maybe until we’re at the Arsenal level we won’t fully control games and the league is too competitive for a team in transition to do it so a clean sheet today with limited ‘big’ chances created or given away and I’ll be happy.

    Think we win this 2-1. Would be nice for Sesko and Cunha to get another goal.

    Gotta go with a win here. In fact, if it were 50-50 (win-lose) with no possibility of draw, I'd say I'd take those odds against this forest team.

    That’s what happens when you have Garnacho and Hojlund up front.
     
    I worry how we might react if we concede first. While confidence is good right now, my only concern is we might still be a bad result away from losing momentum.

    That said, I think we’re winning this. I’m going for a 2 nil win. Bryan will score again.
     
    I feel if we do pick up the 3 points today Cunha will be the standout performer.
     
    Right now we’re in the ascendancy and Forest have been struggling. No way should we settle for a draw today. 3 points are imperative - a good performance would be a bonus.

    0-3 with Cunha, Mbeumo and Bruno scoring.

    Any loss will feel like that, especially before an international break, but will have to remember that we won't suddenly go on massive winning runs and even 5 league game winning runs aren't that common for clubs not challenging for the title (also, runs in really tough groups of games like this current run of games). Lots of away games, good teams, just starting to build form after a prolonged horrible run... it's just unlikely IMO, but should still be competitive and need to do well today.
     
    So many negative cup half empty types in here. We’re flying, Forest have been horrific. Have some optimism ffs.
     
    Fingers crossed we can do them. Gonna be a low block today so a bit different from the last few games we managed to win. An early goal would be very nice.
     
    Please score early. It will settle the whole team down. Hopefully with a competent keeper and class forwards, we can score early and not concede stupid goals.
