When we upped the tempo for about 8 mins we looked dangerous but overall that is a very very disappointing first half performance.

I feel for Hendo the buck rests with him on that first goal however we started so poorly and brought it on ourselves.

For me Matic AWB and Lindelof are obvious weaklinks

Lindelof struggling a bit? No centre back on the bench. Rashford looked to struggle with his ankle too, no centre back on the bench. Hope they're all patched up for Leeds.
Looked like holding his back in the end there. Shaw or McTom for CB? OGS has talked about managing Lindelöf’s injury problems...

People creaming themselves over that Pogba pass.

Dumbest assist ever. He had zero fecking idea where Martial was, or if anyone will go for a run in.

A championship keeper picks that out with ease.
    Grow up.

he’s putting the ball into an area for the attackers to run onto, it’s a percentage pass.

    take your agenda elsewhere.

Honestly, their defence is so susceptible to the long ball for Rashford/Martial that's all we need to do.

World class. If anyone else on the pitch played it you’d be creaming. Pogba running the show tonight.

Matic is at a level where he's by-passed too easily even by a team of Sheffields calibre, he gives every player massive amounts of space and we get unnecessarily under pressure. I'd bring him off for Fred to calm lock down the middle. Otherwise they're there for the taking and we should look to quickly put the game to bed with another goal.

We're so easily pressed at the back. It makes no sense that we insist on playing out from the back when we don't have the players with the speed and ability to go past a player when things get tight.

Hendo should have dealt with it better but Maguire didn't do him any favours.

Standard slow start seeing us go a goal behind. Did well to respond.

Need to kill this game off now in the 2nd half. Worrying thing is that they may sneak a few more chances and who knows, end up taking one of them.

Bring Fred on for Matic. We need some energy in that midfield.

Gladly take the half time lead after a poor first 20 minutes to that half. Sheffield United as I expected are not rolling over, everyone of their home games this season has been competitive and this game no different.

I feel a 3rd goal will be needed 2nd half to win because I don't trust that Man United defence to keep a clean sheet 2nd half.

Last time I felt remotely comfortable with our defence was Smalling & Blind.
If I'm being honest, then it's Rio and Vidic, everything since has been far below the level of a top class team. De Gea now being part of the problem for the last 2 years or so highlights this even more. And this playing out from the back with players who aren't technically gifted enough is beyond me.

He meant it, it’s one of his trademarks, he plays it all the time. Only have to look at one of his highlight vids.
You're right. He plays it all the time.

And in 99% its just a pickmeup ball for the keeper.
And a loss of possesion for us.

Only because their keeper is shit are we in the lead now.

Not that i mind. But that ball was a hail mary.

Bruno will be coming off for sure, especially if he's still feeling that knock. Would like to see Pogba pushed up, and one of Fred or Mct behind him

We are 6th, two more goals and we are joint 5th with Everton, with one game less.

    Come ooon, score more goals!

You knoe, if we want to win PL, we have to better our goal difference!!

Why you look at me like that? What did I say wrong?

The good and the bad of this team in that half. Think they might tire a bit in the second so hopefully we can pick them off but if we give them something to hold on to and battle for they look up for it and could get a second wind.

I can't believe Ole still trys to play Matic and Pogba together. There is no 2-man midfield we have that isn't compromised but Pogba and Matic exacerbate each others flaws. Matic's legs have gone and Pogba is laxadasical.

Surely, knowing Pogba is a bit lazy wouldn't you play Fred or McTominay with him.

Knowing Matic's legs have gone maybe try playing Fred or McTominay with him to cover up his deficiencies.

Whatever you do don't play the lazy player with the guy whose over the hill.

It's hilarious these lot trying to discredit Paul for the pass.

If it was Henderson to firminho...

We've not been great but could have had about 4 goals. We're so dangerous when we up a gear. Not many can live with us.

Hoping we can kill the game in the second half and bring off Bruno and Rashy.

Its shocking it took us 20 minutes to realise they had such a high back line. Luckily we were able to punish it before half-time, cause i’d be surprised if that isn’t corrected by Wilder at the break.

It continues to amaze me that we just don’t seem to show up at kick-off for anything but the biggest games. This worries me a bit...
3 fast forwards and Pogba deep in midfield. Ole set the team to exploit the high line. 20 minutes is just a mandatory shit opening from us. Ole wants King of Comebacks trophy badly.

I'm massively relieved that we're leading after that performance the first 25 or so minutes. Not that it was so much better afterwards, but it was at least some improvement. It's really not good enough regardless.

Obviously the goal we gave away is an absolutely shocking mistake by Henderson. Complete gift by him. But we were just second best to everything after that. It was quite unbelievable how bad we were. However a great pass and finish by Rashford got us going somewhat. Decent pass by Pogba too for the second, but Martial did really well to finish the goal off as well.

Need a 3rd early in the second half to kill it off.

Someone said before the match that we need Fred more for Leeds game because they will be pressing like hell and I agree with him. Matic shouldn't really have had that much trouble dealing with Sheffield.
