Heaven deserves to play. He has been at least as good as Martinez.

Agree with the comments about Heaven, I think it's good. Martinez has been a huge letdown this season, he should be made to fight for his spot then moved on in the summer.

No Casemiro, Sesko and dare I say Dalot from the first 11. Won’t be surprised if we play tame and without rhythm today. I don’t like Zirkzee upfront and I worry he might be wasteful especially of Bruno’s chances.

Also no Ugarte on the bench. Does anyone have news what happened?

No I like Martinez but based on current form, he's not even better than Ayden. It's about keeping everyone happy, especially senior players with asset value. Martinez barely played this season and he hasn't been lucky with that stupid red card so I understand why Carrick starts him. Same reasoning with Amad, good thing that he starts so hopefully he'll regain confidence.

Overall it's great man management.

He's played 56 minutes in the last 3 months. And he was among our best players before he got injured in February.

According to Carrick, Sesko has a shin problem that he's been carrying for some time. Case's problem is minor, should be fine next week. And Ugarte had a back problem in training.

I'd say he's just trying to get fitness into Martinez. Heaven will understand. He's made a statement with his form since he came in. Ball is in Martinez court now and the bar is high

Hence the specification "current form". That wasn't meant as a criticism of him. Regardless of the reason, we can't consider he's in good form. We've seen it against Leeds.

The entire team was utter fecking shite against Leeds though.

He's shown time and again that he's a top, top player. Unfortunately he's also shown that he can't be trusted to be available.
