That team is very, very beatable.
Eriksen should always worry you, and Kane seems in great form. But quite honestly that's a team we should be beating, home or away.

Wow so many of you happy with a Draw ? Mental, it's spurs not Bayern Munich

There hardly setting the league alight and we aren't either but our squad have the much stronger players and i don't expect it to be an easy win but think we will pull though and take all 3 points

I rarely enjoy Spurs away. I can't remember the last time we played well there. We usually grind out a draw, which would be okay I suppose

A win would be a great result. We could pull away from Southampton and West Ham comfortably, as I don't think they will beat Chelsea and Arsenal respectively. Spurs are playing pretty awful but still managing to win, a lot like us really. It'll be a hard game.

For some reason, I reckon Di Maria will be back. This time of year seems to be full of minor 'injuries' who miraculously return in a couple of days. It would be a great boost for us if he is. We were efficient today, but we really did lack pace.
Yeah we've struggled the last few years i think there even though the results have been ok. 1 brilliant performance though was in the 09/10 season. Won 3-1 with 10 men (scholes sent off) and it was a masterclass.

He might have to make changes either in this game or the Stoke game as both early kickoff. Damn TV. Depends which players suit which game.
Aye you're probably right maybe could be looking at something more like this, bearing in mind the less than 48 hr turnaround.

    --------------------DDG----------------
    ----Smalling------Mcnair------Rojo----
    Rafael-----Herrera----Carrick------Shaw
    ------------------Rooney-------------------
    ---------Falcao------ ---Wilson------------

Kept Falcao, and Carrick in beacuse they were taken off early-ish today, Rooney seems to be thriving on his games so he can stay in too.

Personally go for the same team, bar Smalling for McNair, if Smalling is fit enough, and ADM to replace Wilson on the bench.

If there is an argument for Rafael to play, which I am not too sure, then I would lose Mata to the bench and move Valencia in the midfield. Just to have a bit of bite. I think Carrick, Rooney and Mata midfield is a touch to light for Spurs.

Having seen a couple of Spurs performances recently, I would be surprised if we lose this. I fancy Spurs getting a consolation, but that's about it.

I vaguely remember that one. Didn't we go down 1-0 in the first 30 seconds?

Even Anderson scored too, if I remember correctly.

We need a lot better bench than today. I would dread Fletch coming on again and this is not a game for kids.

I would replace Mata with Fellaini or Herrera if one of them gets available in time for the game but unless that happens we should go with the same line up we played today.

Would be happier if Smalling available. McNair might be a bit inexperienced. As people have been saying it might be Mata for home games and Fellaini or Herrera for away games. I would definitely want Fellaini for Stoke. I think it has been mentioned that Fellaini and Januzaj will not be available for the Spurs game.

If Smalling is available he should definitely start over McNair I didn't know he was expected back for this game. Mata I think will struggle in this type of games. He can be a fantastic player but he needs to have enough space and time on the ball to work his magic and against the high pressure football Pochettino likes to play he will not get that.

Spurs are rather shite so far this season. Apart from Eriksen none of those duds are particularly intimidating. Lloris is a very good keeper though but the rest of their defense looks a shamble more often than not. Falcao could have a field day, I predict.

    0-2 United. Falcao x2

A few changes for this I would think - Smalling and Herrera coming in maybe most likely , possibly Rafael and very slight chance, Rojo, Shaw, Di Maria
    No idea really
 I've just done my line up prediction and this was basically what went through my head.

Anyone read LVG's update on our injuries? Pleasant as always.
Januzaj is not fit as he's emotional drained,
Fellaini is sore from an arse pounding,
Rojo is still trapped in a gimp costume,
Di Maria has sore testicles, Shaw and Herrera have been lubeing up for a good month but not yet ready for penetration.
It seems he's been abusing them behind closed curtains, why else would they all be ruled out from returning. Can't let the authorities see the bruises can we ?

I'll take a draw, WHL is never an easy place for us and Spurs haven't been a walk in the park for a while.

What is this, I don't even...

Not a chance will Valencia be dropped to bring back Rafael for a game like Tottenham away

Southampton play Chelsea and West Ham play Arsenal so a win would be a massive result for us.
West Ham and Southampton are not our competition for top 4. I will be hoping they both win to be honest, along with United.

    De Gea
    Jones--Smalling--Evans
    Rafael--Mata--Carrick--Rooney--Young
    Falcao--van Persie

subs: Lindegaard, McNair, Shaw, Valencia, Fletcher, Pereira, Wilson

Won't be surprised to see Wilson starting. This is where we could really do with out other players being fit, if you think that Smalling, Rojo, Blind, Shaw, Rafael, Di Maria + Januzaj were missing today it's impressive really.

Looking at the Tottenham lineup they can ring some changes and freshen up without making their squad much worse. With our current injuries we're not really in that position.

We are both quite similar in the way that our attacks are great but defence is average

Think it'll be a high scoring game but a draw I'll say 3-3

We've conceded 11 in our last 1260 minutes of football (averaging a goal conceded every 1.28 games), including games against Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham, Everton and Southampton and you think we'll concede 3 against Spurs?

Rafael in for Valencia is the only change I'd make

maybe Blackett in for McNair to get us a left-footed player in the back

Leicester were a tough nut to crack today and made for a satisfying three points so a Spurs fan informed me. If this is one of the rare instances where they achieve a passable resemblance of Southampton's pressing game, we could have a problem on our hands.

The Stoke match shall probably presents a greater test to LVG though, what with their tendency to raise their game against top teams and the challenge of managing resources during the festive season.

Tough game this, Spurs seem to like playing us recenty.
Absolutely no idea what the final score will be. Hoping Falcao gets the nod again as he was fantastic today.
Going to go for a score draw 2-2 (Rooney, RvP)

We won't have anyone new back so don't see much choice but to go same again apart from maybe Smalling in for McNair

The main reason we used to struggle with spurs so much was down to the pace and mobility of their midfield, dembele used to destroy us, and Patrice Evra always had the strange tendency to make Aaron Lennon play messi-like  I think we'll beat them marginally 1-2 or 1-3, same team again would be good, as it appears none of our midfielders will be fit.

I would consider putting Rafael RWB and Valencia rather than Mata as CM.

Don't think Mata does enough away from home.

Where is Herrera? No mention in the injury update. Not a huge fan but confused by his absence.

I have the same reservation about Mata, but with rotation more important during this busy schedule and Stoke away four days after this match, I would rather start Mata in this match. Opposed to a very physical battle against Stoke where there's a good chance he is completely nullified and anonymous.
