Doubt the Yeovil fans see it that way. We need to get some attacking play going before Southampton. If everything goes well it might give the attacking players some confidence. :)

There is the want to put a young team out and rest some of the first 11 for our next premier league outing. But then you remember MK fecking Dons catastrophe.

ADM,Falcao, and a defender to replace whoever got injured (probably Smalling) as subs

I think Fletcher will start over Pearson but would love to see Pearson start in this.

unattractive?? I disagree, United have been built on the romanticism of the FA cup and matches like this!

I hope we dont disrespect the cup and underestimate our opponents by putting out too weak a side

If LVG wants to experiment he can try four at the back on for size [leave 3-5-2 for when he gets his hair cut]. Introduce the youth players only if we attain a comfortable enough lead; it's one thing to throw in a kid when a team is in its stride but quite another with this hotchpotch.

I'd really like to see a lot of goals. It's been too long since we gave someone a good hiding.

There's a full seven days to the Southampton match so I'd expect to see close to a full-strength team. We've looked devoid of ideas away from home so playing away to a struggling League 1 side should be the ideal platform to rectify that.

Yeovil are utter garbage and any team United fields shouldn't have too much of a problem scoring 2-3 goals. Though you know Yeovil will definitely be up for it, so it could be tough if the van Gaal and the players aren't careful.

An FA Cup win would be massive for the club and massive for Van Gaal. I fully expect, within reason, a full strength side this weekend and I'd like to think that the whole club is fully behind getting our shit together and winning this competition again. So 90 minutes for Tyler Blackett and Andreas Pereira isn't in my thinking whatsoever. This isn't the time for it.

Shaw, Rafael, Herrera and, if fit, Rojo and Blind need minutes, as do the likes of Smalling and Jones at centre half. Yeovil is as good a game as any to give them that.

We need to find a good balance in the team that plays Yeovil. Play some of the seniors in Hererra, Shaw, Rafael, (Fellaini, Blind, Di Maria, Rojo if fit) to get match practice and sharpness. Can see Wilson, Adnan, McNair as well starting this one.

A good FA Cup run will do wonders for the team confidence. Win it and we can start marching towards the title next season. Wasn't FA Cup win the start of good times under SAF.

We have not won the FA cup for some time. Hope this will be the year.
Yep. Great chance of a trophy really, plays into our hands a bit this season too what with our inconsistency. Well, more than a league format anyway.

A trophy would be a good way to kick on and build.

I want to see LVG walking the walk at Wembley. They say no rest for the wicked and we are Devils:devil: Therefore play our best eleven and let's take no prisoners. Curse the day we watered the competition down by opting out of it. Time it came home to us!

Anderson and fletcher? You must be mental. Put Herrera in over either and if we wanna make statement then Carrick or Rooney over the other.

Make a statement? We are playing Yeovil! and have just completed a busy league schedule, time to use the squad.
Maybe Herrera for Anderson, but its a good game to put him in the shop window.

We have loads of players coming back from injury, this is the perfect game to give them minutes. Rather than the U-21 game on the following Friday or throw them straight in against Southampton. Also we don't want to be the giant killing of the round. Get the goals and then take some off.

Putting players in the shop window? What planet are you on? We finished seventh last season and sit only a couple of points away from fifth place now. I want to see us lift some silverware, not prat about getting Anderson a new club.

Any chance we'll see Lingard? Don't think it was ever confirmed what his injury was back on the opening day but it's been half a year. If he is fit, can see it be something like this... Maybe a bit hopeful to put 5 teenagers into the lineup (front 3, Shaw and Pereira).

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Smalling Shaw
    Fletcher
    Herrera Pereira
    Januzaj Wilson Lingard

So a player that has been with us 7 year is that much of liability, hes not allowed one game that may tempt someone into loaning him for the remainder of his contract against a team who is likely going to be playing in the 4th tier next season, ok Mr pedantic.

Anderson is out of contract in the summer, hasn't kicked a ball in months and has no future with Utd... he'll be off on a free, and the sooner the better.

He's had 7 years here to show what he can, or more the point, cant do... one game against lower league opposition is hardly likely to tell anyone anything they don't already know about the fat lazy useless bastard at this stage.

I'd rather see a 16 year old from the academy get a game than that so called footballer.

Isn't his contract up this summer? Anyone who would buy him now would only do so for a very small fee anyways. He will be gone on a free next summer.
