  1. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

It's just not true that he doesn't create or pass well. Take the first so called "rebound" yesterday, where he pressure the goalkeeper into making a mistake, feed de bruyne and finally is there like a hungry wolf. Some of these posts are so goddamn stupid and void of any analysis, you'll wonder...
  2. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

His assist rate is just as good as those guys you mention. Honestly, this talk about "limiting the team" is rather strange in my opinion. When you have someone scoring that much, and additionally forces a couple defenders being glued to you, it's up to the team as a whole to benefit from the...
  3. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

So much doom and gloom. You'd think Citeh doesn't score at all. While they hit the target on a higher rate than any other team in the league. Best goal differential too. Implementing new players and a more diversified offense takes some time. Obviously. That it hasn't clicked perfectly yet isn't...
  4. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

When possession numbers are basically equal to last season (67,now/68 then), while goal diff is up by 5 from same round last season, isn't that a proof that "control of games" is keeping up just fine? I'm curiously asking, because I don't always get the meaning of stats.
  5. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

Yeah, I agree with you mate. Found it from the round by round table at https://www.worldfootball.net/schedule/eng-premier-league-2021-2022-spieltag/15/ Googled quite randomly. I'm sure someone knows of better stat-sites. Was just looking for something round by round.
  6. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

You use full season stats from 21/22. If you look at it after 15 rounds, it looks a bit different. Statline 11-2-2 is identical, and pg 2.33 for both seasons. After that it goes: Goals pg................2.13 ..............2.87 Goals ag pg...........0.66...............1.00 Goal differential is...
  7. Andreas Schjelderup (The next Haaland)

Frankfurt loaned him to Gent, because of a sort of Bundesliga light. But he's mostly benched in Belgium too, so I wonder what's going on.
  8. Andreas Schjelderup (The next Haaland)

    The next Jens Petter Hauge
  9. Should a denial of a goal scoring opportunity (DOGSO) always result in a penalty?

It's too complicated and too dependent on interpretations of this and that. And with such a high reward diving will peak.
  10. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

If he continues like in the first 4 games, his "zero presence outside of the box" will count for 28.5 goal points by the end of the season. Harry Kane had 28 in total.
  11. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

There's no "norwegian way" of speaking english. This fellow is laconic and doesn't love interviews, which probably is the biggest influence.
  12. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

Listened to his post match interview. His english is pretty much "norwegian level", even a bit better speedwise. The rest of it is due to his norwegian dialect, a bit Salzburg/ BVB, and his general short cut way of expressing himself. If you youtube "jærsk dialekt" you'll find the roots of his...
  13. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

Each of them has roughly 4 goals for each assist in their best clubs. Haven't really seen too much of Lewa and Agueros assist-play to judge, but from what I've seen of Haaland he's clearly an underrated team player. Not for much longer, I suspect.
  14. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

You're 100 % right. Including labels about playing style. The good thing is that it will be real stuff to discuss from now on, instead of preconceptions.
  15. Nordic Ghost Yeti | Haaland at City

From a norwegian point of view I just don't see any bad boy. More like a goofy big kid doing what he loves most in this world. Scoring goals.
