He's not the issue, it's the tactics. All DMs would feel exposed in this system.
He can take responsibility for being stupid on the ball and ambling around though. Honestly don't think he's that motivated outside the big games
He played left back and right back and pocketed Elanga on both sides. He's incredibly versatile, two footed, can overlap or go central. He has brain farts but he's a quality modern full back who keeps improving
Zero penetration as per but does link well and works very hard. He needs a flying RB and forwards making runs into the box he can pick out with passes otherwise he's useless. Was fine today
In this form I don't get why he doesn't get rested or rotated. Hes always been a high risk player but he plays like he's absolutely shattered and makes tired decisions. Shame Mount isn't fit
I don't get why he never gets a minute off when we are Infront. Sometimes we are crying out for a bit of composure and to slow the play down and he doesn't exactly offer that....
It says a lot that he's ten hag's most trusted attacker at the moment. Elite work rate and mentality and his game is simplified in a good way playing on the right.
Some good stuff, some bad stuff. Much better on the ball and positioning wise than anyone else. When he is exposed though the lunges are awful and his lack of pace is evident.
Needs to get back match sharp pretty quick.
Am I the only one who thought it probably didn't make sense to chuck him on today?
I don't have an opinion on Forson over him but Amad doesn't strike me as someone to hold the ball upfront alone (neither did Forson to be fair)
I really want him...
The only other game he was available for he played a lot of minutes and did okay. I think Amad said himself that he was surprised to be trusted that early by ten hag.
If he's still not playing in a few weeks time then it's fair enough to be...
