  1. Premier League Gameweek 28-29

Fine margins here and I think doku is lucky here particularly because there is a slight touch on the ball by him rather than Mc Allister. If he didn’t touch the ball it would be a totally different issue.
  2. Mitoma

What is stopping us from making a move for him? Sometimes I wonder who makes decisions for us.
  3. City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches

It’s telling that this is the 115th page of this thread. Would be great if City gets a crushing blow before the end of this page. 115
  4. What do we still need? Aka The never ending story

I understand how you feel about spending so much where there might be little return in a few years but I guess we may just have to bite the bullet. Do you reckon we go for Osimhen - 150m - instead?
  5. What do we still need? Aka The never ending story

Sure Onana is a dream option but I feel like we cannot do it all this summer imo. The money required is really steep. Yes different styles with my second options but the idea is to improve a step or couple of steps further till we hit the jackpot.
  6. What do we still need? Aka The never ending story

De Gea Timber Verane Martinez Shaw Barella Casemiro Bruno Antony Kane Rashford this is very doable in my opinion. Other options to Timber and Barella are Dumfries and Caicedo. We need to go all out for an established striker. I have a feeling that this would be a very good year for us.
  7. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

Bayern are underperforming but it’s not because of a lack of talent. The following players will have a good shout in the current city squad: Neuer, Cancelo, Upamecano, De Ligt, Davies, Hernandez, Pavard, Kimmich, Coman, Sane, Mane, Musiala, Gnarbry. That’s more than eleven players - all very...
  8. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

Mancini’s result was also terrible in the season where he was asked to go. Pellegrini being preparation for Pep? How is that seeing that they don’t play the same style. They pushed the boat for him but the results have also been very good except his first - breaking records along the way. Yes...
  9. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

Going by their precedence, yes they would have sacked him because they have clearly very lofty expectations not only in playing style but titles. Yes they worked together before but you also forget that it’s a job meaning that the owners of the club make the call hence if they are doling hard...
  10. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

The resources differ but so do the expectations. If it was a case of equal expectations I.e. if the Klopp teams are being required to win every competition they are involved in that would be a different case. If you spend big money on players and they flop, you cannot have a first team and a...
  11. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

You see that the criteria is different. While you expect Pep to win every season and every trophy you can excuse Klopp not winning and gloss it over by such statements like “fatigue”, “XYZ points”, “played in the finals” etc. The expectation is not the same and this is a factor you take lightly...
  12. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

I would like to kindly disagree. Maybe Klopp can take a team with weight of expectation and win consistently but he is yet to show it and the jury is out for him. Maybe Potter should have stuck to his Brighton lads. The moment he got support everybody began to see him as a clown ( no...
  13. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

the average managers cannot win consistently year in year out though and I didn’t say challenge I said win. That’s the difference - challenging is different from winning. In some places if you come second that’s failure but in some other places if you gain champions league place you have done...
  14. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

Di Matteo won the UCL and Ranieri won the premier league. It’s one thing to win a cup one season and quite another to win consistently over the years. Pep has coached at clubs that have also won stuff but their names aren’t mentioned in the conversations where his is mentioned to be fair. Even...
  15. Is Pep the greatest manager of all time?

And that’s why I’m saying both jobs are different. While you judge Guardiola for not taking a Liverpool-type team to victory which would imply him having to build and start from the scratch probably because he’s no magician, you are comfortable with Klopp not having to take up a challenge...
