  • What is worse, having an Interim manager or a manager that nobody believes in? I think we might be coming to this junction again soon.
  • Borys replied to the thread Bruno is underrated thread.
My only problem with Bruno is he's not good at progressing the ball or defending, what really makes him a poor candidate for #8 and breaks any midfield setup. He is a pure #10, effective around the box when somebody else takes care of getting him...
  • I am not sure if he's particularly rated across European leagues.
  • Borys replied to the thread Casemiro | 2023/24 Performances.
Yeps We're in the Ragnick spiral now. Very possible to finish 8/9th. Some players don't look like they give any fecks, ETH lost Rashford and Casemiro a while ago.
  • I think they are in troubles now. ETH is very clearly done now at this club, do we have money to sack him and appoint a new manager? It's not like there's any obvious / popular choice and frankly I'm not sure those available managers will be...
  • Well alright but how about the win % huh?
  • 7th place... STOP THE COUNT!

Shock horror ETH not making any changes.

    Wonderful comment, close the thread.
  • This explanation seems quite obvious and accurate: Last season the rather conventional setup suited us (not only Casemiro, Eriksen, but also Fred) + we got a bit lucky with some players hitting great form. It also proved this bunch of players is...
  • That seems like the case now yeah. I just admit I was convinced he's the guy who at the very least will bring some good football to the table. He still has a reputation of being a good coach despite all the evidence against it.
  • Eth seemed like the right guy, nobody knew he has ideas/systems that won't work in this environment/league. Personally I think I bought the "next pep" narrative, but this guy isn't any better than Ole tactically that's for sure. Ole made use of...
  • I don't see why you need to look at the individual cases though, nobody does that. It's just interesting to see why some teams tend to have high xG than others, and why some teams seem to limit opposition to low xG - that is a very good example...
  • This is not correct. xG of 0,25 means on average (in THOUSANDS of shots taken from that position, home/away, day, afternoon or night games, weather etc) you will score 1 in 4 for all attempts. All those factors you mentioned are already included...
