This is true. His stability in the side is what has given us confidence at the back along that left side. Without him there and Brandon's inexperience we do look very vulnerable.

Yeah, agree probably. The thing with Ederson I suppose is he has more to his game in being a sweeper and great distributor of the ball. De Gea doesn't do that and solely relies on his reactionary saves to class him as a top keeper - which this past 18 months simply haven't been there.

I think everyone can agree Lingard isn't up to United quality and should be moved on in the summer. However like many comments above have said, the disrespect against him however is still pretty bad considering he scored us a winner in a cup final.
