  1. Film The Redcafe Movie review thread

I just looked into that as I also loved Paris, Texas. I see the director's cut (supposedly the superior version) is almost double the length of the theatrical version, and five hours long!

Watch Ponyo with her. It's fantastic, and one of the first I watched with my daughter several years ago.
  3. The Culture Wars

To be fair, I also remember a lot of the usual suspects losing their shit about that - as well as the Peter Saville/Umbro 2010 England kit - back when they came out.
  4. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

feck me, these people see combinations of colours as covert political statements now. Not the same colours and not in the same order. May as well say Frances's flag is like that because they want to appease Russia.
  5. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

It's not based solely on that post, it's the history of his other posts on here. And there's something about Owen Jones I find irritating and annoying. But there's nothing he's said in that video I disagree with. It's a sad state of affairs when it's come to this, but there are too many...
  6. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

Yeah, it was me that focused on that. Wrote a huge post about it with bad analogies and everything.
  7. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

But a potential leader of the country who repeatedly lies is fine by you. We should vote for him and just trust he'll stop the lies once in power. In the meantime, let's focus on the real issue - a poster on RedCafe has interpreted a journalist calling that politician to account differently to...
  8. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

You wrote all this so you could call a poster on here a liar for simply defending Jones posting what you describe as 'an attack' on Kier Starmer, when all he's actually done is to post video evidence of Starmer repeatedly lying. Something which you apparently find an abhorrent characteristic...
  9. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

It's not quite how you put it, is it? It's basically choosing to vote for a party with socialist policies as opposed to Labour's slew of 2010 style tory austerity stuff. And as the other parties haven't released manifestos for this election, due to it not having been called yet, it's at this...
  10. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

There is in the full 20+ minute version he's posted on Youtube. I'm not a huge fan of the guy, but I couldn't find fault in anything he said on that video - he's pretty much catalogued every reason I will also not be able to vote for Starmer's nightmarish version of the Labour party.
  11. Keir Starmer Labour Leader

No, I'd say the complete lack of substance to the plan - at this stage no more than a few words of platitude - is the issue. The sentiment is good.
  12. Television Curb your enthusiasm

I watched it earlier and thought it was one of the weakest. I distictly remember thinking that it's probably not one I'd rewatch in future.
  13. Westminster Politics

This tallies up with my experience when moving from a big city in the UK to a small one surrounded by rural areas with a 96% white/1% muslim demographic.
  14. Music Glastonbury 2024

What maniac designed that poster?! Offset printing can look cool on images, but it's an amateur error to try it on dense text. God help you if you're colourblind.
