  • If you went through all our wins this season I think for the vast majority of them we were pretty lucky to get the win. The amount of times we've played well and won this season is absolutely tiny, genuinely it's been about two or three times...
  • Weghorst shouldn't have been doing any of that ! He was fecking terrible! That's part of why he's the worst player I've seen for Utd. It was like if Prunier was allowed to play for us for 30 games.
  • None of the players mentioned above, Obertan or Dong or Prunier or Tosic started something like 15 matches in a row for us , or started in a cup final or started in big games against Barcelona and Liverpool and Arsenal etc.
  • I did say he's the worst player not including players who made 1 or 2 appearances here and there. And I'd say Miller and Kleberson were both not as bad as Weghorst anyway. They both scored as many in less appearances and neither were strikers.
  • How old are you?
  • Weghorst is the worst Utd player I've seen in my lifetime. Not including players who made one appearance in a dead rubber end of season match or something. He was not very useful for the team, he was absolutely fecking awful.
  • He did brilliantly in the buildup to the goal to be fair.
  • I really do think we've been incredibly lucky to be 7th. If you look at all our wins this season so many of them are undeserved.
  • If we'd generally had a good season, comfortably top 4, closer to a title challenge and a decent run in the CL then I'd say winning the FA Cup on top of that would be further evidence of progress being made. There'd be a sense of momentum...
  • Winning the FA Cup 100% should not save him. In a one off game you can beat anyone, you can get outplayed but if the luck is on your side you can win on penalties for example. It wouldn't change anything in terms of ETH needing to be sacked...

Great post that puts into perspective how fecking badly run we've been. Even towards the end of Fergie we started to hold onto players who were clearly nowhere near good enough, Anderson being at the club from 2007 to 2015 is a great example of...

Should have gone fecking years ago.
  • Didn't he predict something like 4 or 5 unbeaten seasons for Liverpool on the BBC weekly prediction column?

I think so but the last few months I think you've been well below City and Arsenals level of performances. You did well to grind wins out and stay in touch but these dropped points recently have been a long time coming.

Liverpool have looked a clear step below City and Arsenal for months. It's only the last week where results have started to match their general performances.
