  1. CL 19/20 Group Stages: Week 6 (Last Round)

It's whether the rest can step up. Messi scored two in the first leg. He created some critical chances in the second leg too, but football is a collective game.
  2. CL 19/20 Group Stages: Week 6 (Last Round)

You can't tell me that keepers don't gift Liverpool so many goals, and don't tell me about, "cOnStAnT pReSuRe", etc. That kind of next level luck isn't happening to anyone else.
  3. Arse FAM TV - Capitulation F.C.

I think AFTV has become cultish, even amongst Arsenal players. Wouldn't surprise me in the least that half the Arsenal squad were avid watchers of the content on the channel. It's not the same as United players watching United Stand, for example. AFTV is a whole bigger thing altogether.
  4. The Redcafe Movie review thread

I haven't seen it yet, although it's been on my iMDB watchlist for a short time now. I'll get around to it this week, I should imagine. The main antagonist (just realising this now) in Bacurau is the guy who played the the vampire boss in Blade.
  5. The Redcafe Movie review thread

Bacurau (2019) Brasilian production written and directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho. Synopsis reads :- A brilliant movie, indeed. I don't want to give too much away in the process of praising it, therefore, I'll simply leave the recommendation here. I highly advise watching this one. 9/10.
  6. Liverpool are going to break Arsenal's 49 game unbeaten run

There's no chance Liverpool will slip up again. Twice they've been in the advantage over recent years and squandered a clear points differential. The odds of them doing it a third time are remote. It's their title now. Word curse.
  7. Premier League Gameweek 16

I think the mythical drop-off at 30 has everything to do with the Championship Manager game, whereby a player's value and performances would plummet on his 30th birthday.
  8. Next 5 Fixtures

I think you've misinterpreted. I'm not referring to our defensive line, deep or otherwise. I'm referring to the fact that this season we've struggled most against others who have employed a deep defensive line, in contrast to the last two games where the opposition did not play deep, hence the...
  9. Next 5 Fixtures

I'm going out on a limb and stating that our next five matches, although far weaker on paper than our games versus Spurs and City, will prove to be a larger test as to the character of this team than that shown in those two superb games vs top opposition. Since Ole has taken over, it has been...

  11. Lionel Messi

I'm gonna hate it when Messi retires. Time absolutely flies. I recall his league debut. I even recall his 1st team debut in the friendly versus Porto, aged 16. One moment he's in his early 20's and you're thankful you've got so many more years to enjoy him, and then in the blink of an eye it's...
  12. Lionel Messi

I fancy him to win his 7th next year.
  13. Lionel Messi

You know it's something special when he bangs in a hattrick of great goals and the Messi thread doesn't budge an inch.
  14. Scott McTominay | 2019/20 Performances

Even when Scott has a "poor" game, he's usually still talismanic and dominant. He has qualities that, even when his passing is off, he can still play 7/10 at worst. Makes everyone around him better.
  15. Manchester City vs Manchester United

One great win doesn't negate concerns based on a 12 month sample size.
